Probably the best 3* hotel I've been to in Costa Del Sol. All staff were friendly and professional. Everything was clean and tidy. Food selection was really good. Salad selection was amazing - perhaps too good, as some items were duplicated. Perhaps could have another 'main' option instead of the duplicates. Cocktails were really strong, and seemed good value at €7. The wine was the best value I've seen - 2 glasses of house wine for €4! That's amazing, especially for such a nice hotel. The bar next door was literally charging double that. The hill ('cardiac hill') down to the coast may be too steep for some. €10 (cash) deposit needed for a pool towel. I would definitely stay here again.

Decent 3-star hotel, 10 mins to beach and marina, hill may be a problem for some. Modern and clean public areas. Room cleaning depends very much on cleaner and not alot of space for two people. Good air conditioning. Charge for safe and 10euros per pool towel which is refunded when its returned ... pay at reception, get a token, take token to lifeguard, get towel ... then same in reverse to achieve refund. Good selection of food and drinks in restaurant, staff were lovely here and in bar despite them being kept busy. Reception staff were helpful. No issue with sunbeds and pool area well managed.

The hotel is super for a 3*. The food was always warm and a good variety and the pool area was clean and tidy with good size pools for adults and babies alike. We never struggled to find a sunbed, no matter the time of day. The staff were friendly and attentive and the rooms had been decorated. The hallway to the rooms needed some attention as they were quite old and dirty but otherwise a nice, well located hotel for the price. Do not be put off by the hill, for able bodied people it is no issue as only around 200m and you are in the heart of Benelmadena

Great hotel staff was very friendly and helpful rooms where clean spacious and modern and clean daily we booked half board. breakfast was nice and there was lots of variety for all evening meal was themed every night and also was a large variety too we enjoyed meals from both breakfast and evening meal. Pool area is very spacious with plenty of sun loungers also like a lot of hotels this one you don’t have to get down before 7:00 to get a bed location is good a little bit on a hill with some nice bars and restaurants near by and the lovely marina is only a ten minute walk away I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody visiting Benalmádena

We had a week at the San Fermin in mid-October. We were lucky as the weather was fantastic; 27° minimum and 30° one day. We had bed and breakfast as we like to visit other restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, with loads of choice. The whole hotel and grounds were spotless and cleaned regularly. There was a problem with the shower head that was fixed right away. We had a problem with ants in the room; this was disinfected right away but they came back after two days because there was a gap in the corner of the room. This is the only reason we have 4 stars, otherwise it would have been 5. It wasn't a major issue as we killed a lot of them before they built up, but the disinfectant was only a short term fix and the same problem will happen again with the next residents until something more permanent is done.
What we liked:
-Plenty of sunbeds and lots of space.
-Two pools, one very large and great for swimming.
-Nice snack and drinks bar.
- We had an evening meal in the restaurant the first night and the food was good, with plenty of choice at €18 per person.
-We upgraded to a pool view which is a must in our opinion; the vista is far superior, with better atmosphere and nicer sunset.
-The location was excellent with a great choice of restaurants; we prefer the Non-British type, although there was masses of choice for both, and the food we had was excellent.
-We had a night at Mijas in the mountains which was fantastic. An UBER was about €17 each way. You need to book for a restaurant as they WILL get full; that was our favourite meal of the week.
-We enjoyed the walk along the beach to the marina, having some decent cocktails at a reasonable price.
