What a fantastic stay at the wonderful Hilton Galatzo hotel.
Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, staff were very helpful, loved the setting of the hotel on top of a hill with amazing views of the SW Mallorca coastline.
A bonus was that the hotel has its own shops as it can feel a bit secluded.
We especially liked the small boutique shop run by the lovely Karen and the other shops run by Irene and Netty.
Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel for a couples or family vacation and will certainly be returning soon.

We recently stayed at Hilton Mallorca Galatzo and it truly felt like a serene escape tucked between the mountains and the Mediterranean. Set on a hillside, the hotel blends classic Mallorcan charm—terracotta tones, archways, and lush gardens—with all the modern comforts you’d expect from Hilton. From the moment I arrived, the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to leave everyday stress behind.
Our room was spacious and stylish, with a large balcony that became my favourite spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets over the sea. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight—plenty of choice from fresh fruit to made-to-order omelettes—enjoyed on a sunny terrace surrounded by greenery.
The hotel offers two beautiful pools (one adults-only) plus a spa and fitness centre, perfect after exploring nearby beaches or the walking trails in the surrounding hills. The staff were warm, professional, and always ready with helpful local tips.
It is slightly removed from the main towns, so having a vehicle is recommended if you want to explore more of Mallorca. But for us, that seclusion was part of the charm.
Overall, Hilton Mallorca Galatzo is a tranquil, elegant retreat where you can truly unwind without sacrificing comfort or service.

The room is up to Hilton standard but the facility overall is more like 4 stars. Not the best location as the view to the sea is mostly blocked. For a partial sea view room, the sea is 90% blocked by building and trees, should have advertised as something else less misleading. Exceptional good service by the reception but quite bad experience at the breakfast restaurants. Overall, up to upper-mid standard level with 5 star price - way overpriced by what you get. Was a Honor Gold during the stay.

It was just OK. Would not class as a 5 star sadly due to a lot of minor things.
* under staffed at reception and breakfast, long queues in lobby area, breakfast is total carnage and panic with staff
* some staff at poolside bearly speak english which is not what youd expect at a 5star
* so much noise in room at night, can hear everything from outside the rooms, to inside the rooms such as moving furniture, flushing of toilets, knocking on walls, showers, voices.
* rooms cleanliness is poor. floored are not mopped they are just brushed. lots of ants on the floor of bedrooms which the staff said was "normal".
* room set up is poor. we had a suite on floor two, but entry to the balcony was poor as theyd put a table in the way, the excess to the bathroom was poor as we had to enter the bathroom sideways, it felt like theyd tried to fit in too much into a small space. didnt need two TVs, dont need a large sofa plus a large chair
* the safe wasnt working, so had to lock our valuables in suitcase
* the shower hose broke/snapped at the head, so had to be replaced.
* the dinner buffet was really poor. hardly any choice.
* room service is 75 euros per request!!!
* late check out is 30euros for an hour.
* there is a place for children to play but un-supervised so an adult has to be present at all times, or you leave your child on their own!
* bar staff spend more time speaking to each other than taking your orders.
* to get a towel for the pool, u need to get a ticket from reception, so have to walk up the stairs into the lobby, wait in a queue to get a ticket from the understaffed reception desk, then back down again all the way back round to give the ticket and get a towel. unnecessary process.
* when sun bathing by the pool, the surrounding trees would shed little branches, which would litter the pool and pool floor, and was not cleared until the night or morning.
* pool is closed until 930am in mornings, and pool bar closes at 5pm in the afternoon. madness. -/////////
Positives were:
* staff friendly
* breakfast choices/options were very good
* pool was warm and deep in parts for good swimmers, or kids to jump in. -/////////
OVERALL, not too impressed, would not stay here again, but not the fault of the staff. the place is just basic and understaffed. (and they need to address the ants problem!)

The key aspect that makes this a 5-star review is the staff. We have stayed here for 8 days and every single member of staff has been a delight. Leticia from the Vista de Rey pool bar, Netty at the shops and golf concierge, Miguel in operations and more, all of which have been beyond special and made this trip so incredible. We were slightly upset about the vista de rey restaurant not being open and the taxis being unreliable (not Hilton’s fault) but they all made up for it and went beyond necessary to help us out. Overall, breakfast is really nice, lunch is more of the above and the workers just make it a million pound experience.
