Early May my mother and I stayed at Melia Mai Khao Phuket for 7 nights and honestly could not have asked for a more phenomenal experience from start to finish.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, spotless, and perfectly maintained. Every area was incredibly tidy and relaxing, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind and enjoy our holiday. The location was excellent, offering a quiet escape while still being convenient for exploring Phuket.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional kindness and hospitality from every single staff member. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely personable, always greeting us with smiles and going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for.
The spa treatments were also one of the highlights of our stay. The spa experience was incredibly relaxing, luxurious, and professionally delivered — exactly what we needed for a truly rejuvenating holiday.
Every detail throughout our stay reflected the care and attention the resort puts into creating a memorable guest experience. From peaceful mornings around the resort to the consistently thoughtful service, everything felt effortless and enjoyable throughout our entire visit.
We left feeling completely refreshed and genuinely appreciative of how special the experience was. Melia Mai Khao Phuket exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would happily recommend it to anyone wanting a tranquil and memorable stay in Phuket.

Had a great stay at Melia Phuket, the rooms with private pool are gorgeous as well as the property surroundings.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help.
One thing that perhaps could be improved is the breakfast, the selection is definitely not the best and neither what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
The fact that they charge for a mimosa for breakfast or champagne does not go in line with 5 star hotel services provided.
Also in the room there is a coffee machine however you get one regular coffee capsule and one decaf for 2 people . Is not a big deal but those are small aspects that can be improved to elevate guests experience.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel location is a bit far from the city center, but it is very quiet and perfect for anyone looking for relaxation and peace. It is also conveniently close to the airport. There are several swimming pools, and the hotel is located directly on the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, and they also offer many other excellent services. Highly recommended.

Caution: Pool in the Pool Villa is only 90 cm deep
Our stay at Meliá Phuket was overall pleasant, but with some clear drawbacks.
Positive:
The resort is very well maintained, and the beach is beautiful and pleasantly quiet. The service was generally friendly and helpful – from reception to room dining service, although it could be a bit faster. The villa itself is modern, stylishly designed, and the bed is very comfortable.
Negative:
The biggest disappointment was the pool in the pool villa: with a depth of only 90 cm, it does not meet expectations for a high-quality pool villa.
The breakfast is okay, but nothing special – guests who value high quality might be disappointed.
A major issue was the large number of mosquitoes throughout the resort. Even though sprays and coils were provided, we still got many bites. In addition to mosquitoes, we also encountered cockroaches. Therefore, make sure to always keep all doors properly closed – this way we avoided having them in the bedroom, but they were present outside and in the bathroom. The door between the bathroom and the outside was not sealed properly, allowing many mosquitoes to enter.
Also, the prices for pool pavilions (2000 Baht plus 3000 Baht minimum consumption) are extremely high for Thai standards.
Conclusion:
A beautiful resort with great service and a quiet location, but with clear weaknesses regarding the pool, mosquito issue, and overall value for money.

This hotel truly feels like a home away from home. It’s my second time visiting, and during this trip to Phuket, I chose to stay here the entire time to fully experience everything it offers.
Every morning starts with a high-quality breakfast, featuring a wide variety of local dishes as well as other options. There is also an additional à la carte menu available to order from, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is open all day, so you can always count on warm service and delicious food at any time.
The staff here are absolutely outstanding — truly a 10/10. You can feel their dedication in every detail. All departments work diligently throughout the day to maintain the hotel at a high standard. The housekeeping team is especially attentive, kind, and detail-oriented.
We spent most of our time at the pool and the restaurant, where every female staff member was incredibly warm and friendly. Nim, in particular, was both professional and caring — she made the entire space feel even more like home.
We also celebrated a birthday here, and the team kindly prepared a small cake for us, which was such a thoughtful touch.
Thank you for such a beautiful and memorable stay. We truly had an amazing vacation here.
