We had such an unforgettable stay here! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and cared for. Every single person we met was genuinely kind, always smiling, and ready to help with anything we needed.
The food was another highlight, everything we tried was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed dining with the sound of the waves in the background, it was such a relaxing experience.
The view from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking, right on Mai Khao Beach with direct access to the sand and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Sitting by the beach in the evening with that view felt like a dream.
Truly a five star experience in every way. If you’re coming to Phuket and looking for top service, amazing food, and stunning beach views, this is the place!

Stayed at Meliá Phuket recently and had a lovely time overall. The staff were fantastic and everyone was very welcoming, especially the team doing the seating for the breakfast buffet. Shoutout to the friendly guy at the pool bar who really made our stay feel special, cannot unfortunately remember how to spell his name though.
The rooms are spacious with a huge, comfortable bed and having a private pool right outside was a real highlight. Only downside was the shower setup, which was a little awkward for me being tall.
The resort itself is quite secluded, so you’ll need transport to get around which can slowly add up in price if you are heading out frequently. The beach nearby was very windy during our stay and didn’t feel safe to swim in, though that could just be the time of year.
Breakfast was decent, but options were a bit limited. The Gaia restaurant at the hotel had a very westernised menu and was on the expensive side compared to the quality and amount.
Overall, a beautiful and peaceful resort with excellent service. Perfect if you want a quiet escape, just be prepared for limited dining choices and to travel for anything outside the resort.

We had the most perfect holiday and stay at Melia Phuket Mai Khao. From check in until check out, the staff, resort and everything in between far surpassed our expectations. To begin with the staff here are exceptional and so polite, helpful and attentive. We really appreciate all their kindness and service and couldn’t ask for any more. We booked one of the private pool rooms with all inclusive and couldn’t recommend this any higher. The buffet breakfast was delicious and there was large variety, the lunch and dinner was also delicious and so filling and there was so many different foods to select from. Same with the drinks, they were delicious and strong and a large selection. The spa treatment was also wonderful and relaxing. Moving on to the actual resort, it is absolute gorgeous and so well maintained. Everything is clean, modern, in great condition and just as described. Both pools were gorgeous. Our room was large and air conditioned and had everything we wanted. Thank you so much for making our holiday and stay so memorable and amazing. We will be back for sure!
ALSO, the resort knew it was my birthday even though we didnt mention it, and they were so lovely and surprised me for it. I came back to the room and the lovely staff has written happy birthday with bamboo leaves and left a delicious cheesecake with candles. This was so caring and sweet and I am so thankful!

Before I write about the resort I want to mention this: Don’t whatever you do ever book a flight with Malaysia Airlines. Cancelled our flight two days before takeoff without an explanation or contact details and with no alternative suggestion. Fortunately was able to get the Luxury Escapes team to arrange an alternative flight plus they contacted the Resort on our behalf to change our stay dates. Do yourself a huge favour and look up reviews on Malaysia Airlines before booking with them. I need say no more. Wrong. We were held up on the runway after boarding ready for takeoff. After about 40 minutes, we get an announcement, and I kid you not, says this “there is a red light blinking and we don’t know why“. To make it worse, the layovers both ways in KL were overly lengthy to simply change to smaller/bigger planes for the flight into/ out of Phuket.
Anyway, back to the accommodation part of our trip. Arrived on 5 September. Here on a Luxury Escapes fourteen night all inclusive deal in a one-bedroom villa with private pool and outdoor bath.
Fantastic well appointed luxury accommodation with daily room service. Magic.
Incredibly impressed with the property. The quality and cleanliness of the amenities on offer and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Wonderful experience all round, the villa, the amenities, the food and most of all the staff.
This property is ginormous. More like a small village. So much so that at times it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. The grounds are well maintained and have that desirable tropical vibe. Two restaurants, one indoor and one semi outdoor. Two swimming pools, one with swim up bar, mere metres from our front door. We chose September to visit because it fitted in with our other annual travel arrangements. Although still part of the rainy season, it was fairly mild with only a couple of heavy downpours, mostly at night. Rain during the day when it did come was light warm and lasted no more than 10 minutes or so. Good number of clear hot cloudless days. The resort is oceanfront with a nice long beach but the seas and wind gusts at this time of the year are way too rough and decidedly unpleasant for surfing. Sure we went for walks along the beach, but didn’t miss surfing, what with the resort pools and our very own private pool available day and night. What was especially divine was the predawn and post dusk dips in our private pool. An experience worth the additional cost. Who needs cozzies.
Sure this is not your boozy night, party central, head banging type of place. There are heaps of those available throughout Phuket. And yes it is one of the more secluded properties in Phuket catering more for couples and families alike who are looking for a relaxed inclusive offering with a touch of luxury thrown in for good measure. We had such a great time. Fabulous. Love it.

Wonderful stay! The hotel was very clean, the staff were always smiling and helpful, and the breakfast had a lot of tasty options. The location is perfect — just a few minutes from the beach and shops. I would definitely come back again!
Carla is absolutely amazing!
