The romantic city of Prague would melt the stoniest hearts. From the cobbled streets that lead you to secluded parks to the fairytale castle lit up in the evening sky, this city was made for lovers. Whether you want to explore the old town and its history, or curl up with a rich hot chocolate in one of the city’s opulent hotels, Prague is a place that has something for everyone.
Get on board one of the city’s centuries old boats for a romantic cruise down the river Vltava. These tours give excellent views of the old town and half way through, the boats stop under a bridge where you can sway to accordion tunes while sharing a few Czech beers - a perfect smooching moment.
Hop aboard a horse drawn carriage and channel your inner prince and princess for a while as your guide shows you the stunning sights of the Jewish Quarter, Prague Castle and the Old Town Square. Relax and soak up the atmosphere of the city as the hooves echo down the historic cobbles. A bottle of champagne and two flutes are optional.
For the best views, head to Letna Park which overlooks Prague to give a glorious and awe-inspiring panorama of the picturesque city. It is a bit of a climb to get to it, so wear some trainers and pack a picnic. Once photo opportunities are over, wander around the woodlands, terraces and enjoy a drink in the hilltop beer garden.
