Karavados leans towards the quieter style of holiday with this quaint village situated near St Thomas Beach. Nestled at the foot of a spectacular mountain covered with pine trees, surrounded by olive groves and citrus groves, the heady scent permeates the air and helps to provide the most beautiful scenery for walkers and leisurely holiday makers. Karavados is a small village with colourful houses, churches and a few tavernas. There is a minimarket and it isn't far from the coast of St Thomas which is at the base of a steep hill. The scenery here is beautiful so lazing by the hotel pool with plenty of holiday reading material, amidst a stunning location is one of the major attractions of Karavados breaks. Alternatively hire a car and explore the surrounding areas and neighbouring resorts such as Argostoli which also offers more choice for dining and refreshments.
