To oversee the groups air strategy. Lead, design, implement and oversee the performance of airlinerelated product offerings—whether packages, digital supply chains or booking systems. This crossfunctional role spans negotiating with suppliers, managing GDS, NDC and API integrations in addition to executing product strategies that enhance customer experience and boost profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards i.e., ATOL and IATA regulations
  • Curate flight or flight-inclusive packages based on client preferences and market gaps
Systems & Technical Integration
  • Lead implementation and optimization of flight booking tools, GDS systems, APIs (inc NDC), and other related platforms (e.g., Seaware/Paxport)
  • Own roadmaps and integration of airline aggregators/consolidators into product offerings
  • Build dashboards, tools, and reporting for air operations, fare monitoring, invoice processing (BSP/ARC/IATA), and performance tracking
Product Strategy & Lifecycle
  • Define the product vision roadmap, and go-to-market strategy for air supply, OTA connectivity, or cross-product bundles
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market trend evaluation to aid innovation and partnerships
  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales and Marketing departments to deliver meaningful impact
Analytics & Performance Metrics
  • Define and track KPIs such as revenue, supplier meet-or-beat (MOB) rates, booking costs, customer satisfaction, SLA adherence, and operational efficiency
  • Use analytical tools to surface insights, optimise pricing strategies, and guide improvements

Experience:

  • Significant experience in travel industry roles particularly with GDS management, air supply or travel product delivery
  • Familiarity with GDS booking platforms, consolidators, airline APIs, BSP/ARC/IATA processes

The Person:

  • Target-Oriented: Highly motivated by achieving goals and thrives in a performance-driven environment.
  • Meticulous: Maintains exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all aspects of the booking process.
  • Strong Communicator: Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
  • Quick Learner: Adaptable and able to absorb new information swiftly, including systems, products, and processes.
  • Proactive & Positive: Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, consistently bringing energy, enthusiasm, and initiative to the role.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong capability in data analysis (SQL proficiency preferred) and using insights to inform strategy and optimisation
  • Clear, adaptive communication style suited for internal and external training and stakeholder engagement
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments, pivoting quickly, and balancing long- and short-term priorities
  • High accuracy in managing flight data, rate agreements, and system nuances; resilient under pressure
  • Genuine enthusiasm for travel, customer experience, and continuous improvement in airline product offerings
  • Ideally, good knowledge of both UK and Irish Airline markets
