Sharm El Sheikh

Sharm El Sheikh

Step foot into a world of jaw-dropping scuba diving opportunities, splashtastic waterparks, lively bars, and over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine. Located on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Sharm El Sheikh is a globally renowned holiday destination for beach lovers craving a slice of paradise for an affordable price. Choose from an abundance of unrivalled 4- and 5-star hotels that feature something for everyone, with top-notch facilities such as kids clubs, luxury spas, swimming pools, and premium accommodation. Create lifelong memories in Egypt’s great outdoors by hiking to the peak of Mount Sinai for a spectacular sunrise, or dive into the magical depths of the Red Sea to discover enchanting marine life, from clownfish to angelfish. Retreat to SOHO Square for an air-conditioned afternoon of shopping, tee off at the Jolie Ville Golf Course, and visit one of the best beaches in the country, Naama Bay.

Hurghada

Hurghada

Hurghada offers an irresistible escape for beach lovers and adventurers alike. Famous for its vibrant coral reefs, Hurghada is a haven for avid snorkelers and divers seeking to explore the underwater wonders of the Red Sea. For those craving adrenaline-fuelled activities, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and parasailing are popular choices. Beyond the beach, you can explore the desert landscape on a jeep safari excursion, where towering dunes and ancient Bedouin villages await. Culture vultures can’t miss the bucket-list opportunity to visit capital city Cairo, and take a trip to discover the iconic Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza, for an adventure straight out of the history books. After a day of exploration, indulge in succulent seafood at a waterfront restaurant, sample a rainbow of flavours at El Dahar Square’s street food stalls, and watch the evening come alive with bustling nightlife along Sheraton Road.

Makadi Bay

Makadi Bay

Craving a quieter retreat? Just south of Hurghada is Makadi Bay, a quaint resort town with untouched beauty and fewer crowds. Sprinkled with calming spas, luxury hotels, and a pristine golf course, this serene destination provides everything you could need for amazing days of fun in the sun, without the hustle and bustle of the more well-known, larger resorts. An unforgettable day out for all ages can be enjoyed at the Mini Egypt Park, a unique open-air museum which is a fantastic spot for the little ones to run around and play. Learn about this fascinating country’s historical significance on a guided tour around miniature recreations of Egypt’s iconic attractions, including the world-famous Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel temple, and Passing Edfu temple. A visit to this wonderful attraction is a fantastic way to experience all of Egypt’s best landmarks within steps of each other.

Soma Bay

Soma Bay

Bask in glorious sunshine at picturesque Soma Bay, just a 30-minute drive away from Makadi Bay and still close enough to enjoy all the excitement of Hurghada’s top sights. This tranquil area is home to an impressive 18-hole golf course and a superb spot for water sports, with kitesurfing, windsurfing and stand-up paddle-boarding among the activities to discover. You’ll also find an array of impressive resorts, with all-inclusive programmes that ensure your only worries are which cocktail to choose next and whether you want to cool off in a swimming pool or paddle in the sea. You can taste authentic Egyptian cuisine, herbal tea and other local pleasures, admire majestic sunsets, and completely unwind in a heavenly hammam. Soma Bay is also relatively near to Luxor’s Valley of the Kings, a world-famous archeological site that’s well worth visiting on a full-day excursion.

El Gouna

El Gouna

Boasting 10 kilometres of golden beaches and warm, inviting waters, El Gouna is the perfect destination for endless sunbathing, swimming, and water sports. Slightly north of Hurghada, this laid-back and modern resort is known for its crystal-clear lagoons, where colourful marine life and coral reefs can be discovered at top snorkelling and diving spots. Try your hand at kitesurfing and horseback riding, or simply soak up the beauty of this coastal gem, catching a cracking tan while you are at it. As the sun sets, head to the charming Abu Tig Marina for a culinary journey across international restaurants and stylish bars. Although El Gouna isn’t as well known as the larger tourist areas, it provides a unique charm for couples wanting to uncover a timeless hidden gem on their romantic getaway.
