We stayed here from 25/04 to 29/04, I feel they need to be more friendly with the people, they didn’t offered a great service, we went to the bar on Saturday 27/04 we have to waited 45 minutes or longer to get our food and literally we were the only people seated at the bar, I feel they’re lack of service in this hotel.
Also the cleanness of our room wasn’t the best, I feel they clean the rooms in like 10 minutes, I left a glass that never got changed for the 5 days we stayed there, also in our room I found a lot of bugs not a great place to stayed.

Let's be honest, it's not a 5 star hotel. Probably they used to be 30-40 years ago. But ok, for money they ask (I paid in April that is not a season around 140 per night) and great location on the beach, I can forgive some signs of aging and not very modern rooms. But service... Omg, these guys need to do much better job. The only friendly person was lady at the spa who by the way did fantastic massage. Recommended!
But Stuff at reception seems trained to say NO to everything you ask and make your stay miserable. First, according to them in the whole hotel (6 floors) there are only 6 rooms with double beds, so unless you're God, don't even dream to get one. Second, iron, it's a luxury in this hotel, it only can be delivered after 6pm because (again explanation from reception guy), they need it in laundry to do their job. Probably there are only 6 irons in the whole hotel. But if you order laundry services and for extra charge due to short notice, they iron clothes for you. And the last was late check out. Not possible, again in 6 floor hotel our room was already assigned to someone else though first time I came to ask for it was day before my check out and was asked by the same receptionist to come back later as he didn't have information.
From other improvement points. No coffee / tea maker in the room, gym is very small (3 cardio and once weights machine) and some equipment is too old.
On the positive side: nice breakfast (buffet), towels for beach or pool, free parking 5 minutes walk from hotel.

I am writing to share my recent experience at Hotel Algarve Casino, which unfortunately left much to be desired. My stay at the establishment during my visit to Algarve in April (off-peak session) was, to put it bluntly, deeply disappointing.
Let me start by acknowledging a few positive aspects of the hotel. The location is undoubtedly convenient, offering easy access to the beach in Portimao and boasting good connectivity. Moreover, the proximity to local restaurants provided ample opportunity to explore the culinary delights of the area. I also appreciate the efforts of the cleaning staff, who did a commendable job in maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises. Additionally, the breakfast buffet, while not exceptional, was decent enough, with a reasonable variety of options, albeit limited for vegetarians. I also encountered some friendly faces among the restaurant staff, which was a small silver lining in an otherwise dismal experience.
Unfortunately, the positives end there, and I must now address the numerous shortcomings that marred my stay.
First and foremost, I was deeply disappointed by the attitude of the reception and management staff. Throughout my time at the hotel, I encountered rudeness and unfriendliness that left me feeling unwelcome. What was even more disconcerting was the occasional hint of racism in their interactions, which is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone a supposedly prestigious so called five-star establishment.
Moreover, the lack of double beds in most of the rooms was a significant inconvenience. It seems inconceivable that a hotel of your caliber would fail to provide such a basic amenity, especially considering the premium prices charged for accommodation.
However, the pinnacle of our disappointment was reached when we discovered the absence of a kettle in the room—a basic amenity provided even by budget accommodations. To add insult to injury, we were informed that boiling water would incur a charge of 3 euros, purportedly to compensate the staff for the Herculean task of delivering hot water to our room. Such an explanation is not only ludicrous but also emblematic of the hotel's blatant disregard for guest comfort. Additionally, despite requesting complementary water bottles (only 2 small bottles would have suffice) during our stay, our request was callously ignored, forcing us to purchase water—a basic necessity—for exorbitant prices.
In summary, my experience at Hotel Algarve Casino fell far short of my expectations. While the location and some aspects of the service showed promise, they were ultimately overshadowed by the numerous deficiencies and lapses in hospitality. As it stands, I cannot in good conscience recommend hotel Algarve Casino to others and would caution anyone considering a stay to think twice.

Spent 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. The rooms are a step back in time, so if you want modern boutique forget this place. If you want stylish classic then go ahead and book. Staff are wonderful and will bend over backwards to help you. Nuno on reception was so welcoming.
The views are to die for, and worth spending extra for a Seaview to experience the beautiful sunrise and sunsets.
Would we return again? Definitely
