Weather

As mentioned, Fuerteventura’s warm climate and year-round sunshine makes it an obvious choice for British sun-seekers. Here’s an overview of what you can expect from the weather in Fuerteventura throughout the year:

  • In January and February, Fuerteventura enjoys spectacular temperatures of around 18 degrees Celsius. If you’re looking to escape the grey UK winter, we strongly recommend a holiday to Fuerteventura.
  • In March and April, the weather in Fuerteventura begins to warm up again with the temperature breaking into the early 20s on some days. Easter is a popular time, especially during the school holidays, so book early.
  • In May, you can expect warmer temperatures again. As Fuerteventura nears ever closer to the summer, the temperature breaks into the early 20s.
  • In June, Fuerteventura begins to get busier with many shops and bars preparing for the high season. Sunshine is a guarantee and temperatures ranging from the low to mid 20s are common.
  • In July and August, Fuerteventura is at its hottest with temperatures sitting comfortably between the mid to high 20s. The warmest days can break the 30 mark so pack plenty of sunscreen.
  • Indian Summers are uncommon in the UK. On the other hand, Fuerteventura in September remains hot with temperatures still sitting around 25 degrees.
  • You can expect much of the same in Fuerteventura in October. During this time, the temperature rarely dips below 20.
  • November and December sees Fuerteventura cool down ever so slightly, but that’s not to say it isn’t still warm here. Don’t pack your beach towel away yet, the average temperature for this time of year is 18-20.

Beaches

We weren’t joking when we said Fuerteventura hosts 150 beaches. From hidden coves to popular coastal strips, you’ll be spoilt for choice when looking for somewhere to sunbathe. Costa Calma is a great family option, whereas Caleta de Fuste is quieter and recommended for couples.

Nightlife

An array of bars and nightclubs means you’ll never be stuck for things to do in the evenings. If you’re hoping to see the sun come up, you’re in luck! Party long into the early hours and then nurse your sore head on the beach the next day.
