“What’s the weather in Fuerteventura like throughout the year?” You ask. Sun worshippers, step this way. Fuerteventura stays hot throughout the year with annual average temperatures of 23 and 24 degrees Celsius. There’s no preferred time to visit as every day here feels like summer.

• In January and February, Playa Barca is pleasantly warm with temperatures averaging around 18 degrees. Spend New Year on the beach with a cocktail in your hand, it’s certainly hot enough.
• In March and April, the temperature in Playa Barca increases to around 20, 21°C. Fuerteventura’s cooling sea breeze makes the hot Saharan weather manageable, but we do recommend applying a higher factor of sun cream.
• With summer on the approach, Playa Barca benefits from glorious temperatures of around 23 degrees in May. It’s not uncommon for the temperature to creep up to 24, 25 on the hottest days either.
• In June, you can expect guaranteed hot weather and temperatures around the mid 20s.
• July and August are Playa Barca’s hottest months, meaning you can expect temperatures to be above the mid 20s. Some days can easily reach 30°C.
• Playa Barca remains hot in September, with temperatures still averaging around the mid 20s. Summer is anything but over in Fuerteventura, making it the perfect destination for a late break.
• The same is true of Playa Barca in October. The temperature does fall slightly to the early 20s, which often appeals to those who like the weather to be warm but not too hot.
• In November and December, the Canaries experience ‘winter’. You’ll find everything but snow here, with the temperature still remaining around the late teens to early 20s.

Sit back and unwind as you drift leisurely along the Atlantic Ocean. Boat rides and tours often run from Playa Barca and take in more of the Canary Islands other destinations, like nearby Lanzarote.
