Shocked at the positive reviews as I also stayed within the same time period as some.
First of all, the transfer to the hotel took 5 hours, I recommend booking a private transfer.
Secondly, when i got into my room, I was unable to lock the door, couldn’t use the phone so walked down to reception.. who spoke little English, I bumped into my rep who was translating, I was not given another room and no one came to look at it and was told that none of them work, however we had 2 rooms and the other worked perfectly fine, I was then told it’s more so children don’t escape, i tried explaining as a female, I would prefer to lock the door as I do in England, but was told no reason to be scared, they were just not understanding my point. Nothing was done about it.
Throughout my stay I found the service to be terrible and unwelcoming. Room service barely came to my room (YES, I did have the green light on and came back to the room with it still on) which I had included, until I had complained as I needed towels then they came just the once. When you try to speak and explain something to the staff at the desk they just don’t want to try and understand you. No iron provided - they charge to iron your clothes, you cannot iron them yourself. If you like the peace of mind of ironing your own clothes - bring a travel iron :)
The food was not the best, there was no ice cream provided, so if you have children bare that in mind. The staff when giving drinks would be awkward and make you walk round to the other side to get a drink when you are in the dining area, even though it is all open and they can get the drink.
If you plan on lounging by the pool all the time then amazing go ahead and book. Very little to do in the hotel, ended up spending most of our time outside of the hotel and ate out.
I would definitely recommend booking with the travel agent Adem down the road from the hotel as he will beat the price of the hotel and offer very friendly advice and help you. He helped us out more then the hotel did and made our stay very enjoyable.

My partner and I went for his birthday and we did not spend 12 hours, and we checked out. The hotel is 3 hrs from the airport therefore we arrive after midnight. There was no food to eat at the hotel and the small shop in the hotel was closing lucky he let us buy some snacks and I end up eating a pot noodle.
The room smelt of smoke, which made me sick, the key safe was not working and room was generally not of 5 star quality. Could not get internet and that was after upgrading our room which was an extra cost.
The food in the restaurant was limited, I had an omelette for breakfast and could not eat it. It was bland and tasteless. My partner had cereal with cows milk because they did not offer any other alternatives milk. Immediately after breakfast he was sick for entire first day of our trip.
There was very little to do there and only entertainment was a DJ at the pool.. The games room was lacking games, the pool table had no balls
We immediately checked after less than 12 hours stay and went to a hotel which we had to pay another for again.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone worst stay ever.

We had the best holiday since COVID hit. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the morning at around 4 AM and Abdullah at the reception was amazing. He explained everything and even treated us to delicious Turkish pastry.
We were fortunate enough to be staying around the time of a Turkish celebration, which was great fun to participate in and experience local traditions. The entertainment was also fantastic, with the entertainers doing an excellent job of keeping everyone occupied with activities such as darts, water polo, and more. There was a kids' disco and an adult one as well. Emir was very kind to us and made our stay full of great memories and fun.
One side of the hotel faced the beach with a beautiful sea view, while the other faced the gorgeous mountains. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.
Great stay with amazing people. Highly recommend

I was very happy to spend my holidays in the SunStarHotel!
We had such a nice room, everybody was so kind to us. When I had a question Someone was always there trying to help.
The food was very nice. Always fast food, for those who don’t wanted the national food or for kids 😉 and everyday enough national food. I liked it.
The WiFi reached up to the beach, what was very nice.
The service was kind and friendly.
The Animators tried to conclude everyone who wanted to some activities.
Svetlana especially became like a friend to me. She showed me so much things I had to try or how to eat the food in the „right way“ 😅
After 23:00 we could spend the time in a club. They organized a bus to the club and the animators take care of everyone. I would come again! It was such an amazing holiday!
Thanks to the animators and especially to Sveta to make my holidays so special!

Our room was spacious with sea view and small balcony, room and bathroom were both clean. Food was good, better than in other all-inclusive-places. Staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The guy at the beach bar was also nice. You can go from the hotel over a bridge right to the beach. Since we were in the hotel during low season, it was not crowded. Location is a bit outside but Bus no1 takes you right to Alanya City. I would come back to that hotel.
