We visited in September 2023 for a week. We hired a car, which we would recommend as the island is beautiful and there are so many lovely places to visit.
However, if you did just want to stay at the resort it is ideal too, with an easy walk to Bali beach (which we highly recommend).
Accommodation was perfect, our balcony overlooked the pool and the view of the mountains was beautiful.
Food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was great with lots of choice. Drinks by the pool bar were lovely.
Entertainment was good, there was just one night when the entertainment was poor but other than that we enjoyed it.
Could always get a sunbed. We did prefer the lower pool and went there mainly.
Staff were always friendly and happy.
7 months later we still miss it. Lots of happy memories.

I've travelled extensively, visiting more than 40 countries and this is possibly the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in! And after one year since I stayed here I have just finished a legal dispute with Thomas Cook for advertising this hotel as 5*.
My pictures will tell you everything you need to know, but in short, we experienced faulty air con units, dirty cutlery and menus, dead welcome flowers, overflowing bins and leaking fridges resulting in significant slip hazards.
I assure you this hotel is nothing more than 2/3* at best, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Great experience and positive energy!
I believe we were the very first guests of the season. We arrived earlier than planned, and the staff was all busy around. Regina welcomed us with great positive energy and a smile, showed us the beautiful suite and villa, accompanied us to the pool bar for a drink, and organized a personalized lunch. She made us feel very special! All the staff are super nice, friendly, human, and professional. The place is amazing, as well as the quality of the food, which is a mix of international and typical Greek cuisine. Also, the spa experience with Dimitrios and Diespoina was excellent. Great stay!

This is not a 5* hotel, first night was set up in a "double bed" that was infact two singles put together. We got this resolved but had to wait around until 6pm on our first day in crete for another room. The room we were given too was above the resturant meaning you could hear everyone scraping their chairs on the floor in your room. For all inclusive too, it's a joke. Food is horrible, not local cuisine as you would expect and not in rotation either, ended up spending eating out. drinks are also bad, no brands given out not even coca cola etc and taste horrible. Do not rent a car from the hotel either, prices are extortionate vs Monza car hire and you need a car to do anything if you want out of this hotel. Crete is lovely, this hotel is not.

Lovely hotel, in a peaceful location. Large room with a bath and a shower, air con, large double bed with a good size balcony.
We've never had to queue or wait for anything all holiday. Staff are quick to serve you and get you seated for food.
Cocktails are hit and miss but there is a large menu with lots of choice.
Three big pools and plenty of sunbeds, there's no reserving so you're guaranteed a bed even after a lie in!
The hotel has lots of steps to get around without there is a lift if you need it.
The shuttle bus into Bali is a great service which is put on for free!
The food is quite repetitive but it's edible and nothing that you wouldn't expect for an all inclusive.
The entertainment is okay, some very good, some awful and it doesn't start till 9pm which is quite late.
Overall we've had a lovely stay here and can't overly fault anything.
