There was some of the best food I have ever had in the restaurant. I didn't dislike any part of the food. I thought that the staff were very friendly around the area.
The bungalows were very nice. They were very nice tidy and spacious areas with a good view from the outside area.
There was a very big pool that was good to cool down from the hot sun and there were lots of sunbeds around the pool to relax in the sun.
The area around the hotel was very nice with some supermarkets and shops around within a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. There was also good parking spaces outside the hotel.

My wife and I and our 18 yo son spent a week here half board. On arrival we were told that they had upgraded our Bungalow to a deluxe. It was very clean and roomy and the terrace was enormous. All of the staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Reception staff were very welcoming, Carmen is particularly pleasant and helpful. The food choices were excellent with freshly cooked options available every evening as well as a buffet selection. The restaurant staff were extremely efficient at clearing the table and bringing drinks. We would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Dreamplace for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at the Dreamplace Bocayana village for 10 nights at the beginning of April and had a really good time. We would definitely go back.
The hotel is quite small with only 48 rooms and there's no entertainment or animation team (which we knew prior to booking as we wanted somewhere quiet). It was really windy in the evenings so we would normally get a drink from the bar (outside) and take it back to our room.
The room and veranda was very spacious and clean, we were all inclusive but it was nice to have a kitchen to make a cup of tea and lunch for my picky 11 year old. We did have an issue when the fan tripped a fuse while we were using it and after reporting to reception it was fixed within the hour.
We really enjoyed all the food, my kids enjoyed the chicken nuggets and chips and pizza/pasta and we enjoyed choosing bits from the buffet and also ordering dishes to be cooked for us. We all enjoyed the food, it's not super fancy but good for a buffet.
The hotel is on the edge of the resort, there's a hiperdino about 10 mins walk to get your holiday crisps from or a bigger one a bit further to get more things if you are self catering. It took us 20ish minutes to walk to the marina for the market and 4euros in a taxi back. If you are self catering you would need to travel into the centre to eat, we didn't see many places to eat nearby.
The pool was cold but once you're in it's fine, it is deep with a small baby pool.
The hotel felt really safe and the staff were all super helpful and friendly. It would be really good if the bar serves slushies and Icecream for the children in the afternoon, that's our only recommendation for perfection!

Clean hotel but quite dated rooms. Issue with one electric switch, shorted out lights. As we were only there 5 days just didn't use that switch.
Hot tub on terrace was good but quite old and temperamental. Was ok to sit in though even when jets didn't come on.
Loved our rooms terrace area, really large and in sun all day. Didn't need to go to pool area at all. Pool area not very large and with 48 rooms on the complex I think it would be very busy in height of summer. Pool bar opened at 3pm ( we did stay in March so don't know what it would be in high season)
Restaurent was lovely and clean although quite small. Again dont think id fancy it in height of summer. Food was ok. Breakfast was good but evening meal was hit and miss. Starters are from buffet then you have a choice of about 5 mains ( one veggie). They were ok but if we came again we'd just do b and b.Service was very good.
Little shopping centre nearby with some bars, a supermarket and bike hire. We went there quite a few times as main beach/marina about a 30min walk away. 5 euros in a taxi
Staff are lovely and overall we had a good time but probably would stay nearer to the centre next time.

Stayed in February 2024 and it's been lovely. The hotel itself has clearly undergone improvement work, our room (Deluxe Apartment under Jet2) was the perfect space for us and 2 children. It was clean, nice kitchen area with all essentials, main bedroom has ensuite with shower which looked like it has been updated in recent years, and the big surprise was the mini pool in the outdoor area which must be recent, as it wasn't even advertised. But such a nice outdoor space, perfect for us in the evening and the kids as a break during the day too.
It was quiet this time of year, the pools are cold but in the afternoon they get to a level you can get in and enjoy it once you've mustered up the courage! You soon get used to it and it's about the same as the sea was.
During the day there's a basic pool bar available and a separate all inclusive bar (although we were half board so didn't use it) but it is small. But it's enough, as it is a fairly small complex but nice and pleasant.
The food we personally thought was good, largely the same breakfast buffet each day with changes to pastries, but covers everything from your standard breakfast (scrambled egg, beans, sausage, hash browns) then a good selection of pancakes/waffles, breads, pastries, fruit, quite extensive and enough variation.
Evening meals surprised us, you get a choice of 5 mains each evening which have been spot on (the odd one was a bit bland sure) but we've enjoyed it most evenings. This was in addition to a buffet with the regular stuff, salad bar, breads/meat/cheese, cooked food such as chips, pizza, potato dishes, fish dishes, steak dishes, at least 2 cooked dishes changed every night on the buffet. We had expected to want to have the odd meal out but it's been nice enough and varied enough over 7 nights to be good enough in the end for us and the kids.
Really can't fault the hotel and the staff have been lovely all throughout. Really friendly and couldn't do enough.
Location wise we did our research and knew it was a quiet resort, there's a couple of bars/shops and a supermarket in a centre near the front but nothing much. There is a bigger supermarket and an English supermarket about 10mins walk away.
We split our days between spending time by the pool and the hotel and walking to the next resort for the beaches (playa dorada) which is lively with a shopping centre and bars/shops/restaurants in the marina.
It is a 35/40 walk but well worth it, we did take prams for both our 2yr old and 5yr old because of this and it worked great. It's a lovely walk on the front and beach is great. There's also playa papayago(?) which is closer but is a drive or trail walk (rubble paths etc). So we didn't head that way with the prams.
As long as your prepared and know what to expect as we did, it's been fantastic for the week. Hotel way out shone our expectations which is was great.
Just one suggestion to the hotel though, please consider leaving a mop and/or sweeping brush and dustpan in the rooms. With kids we constantly had sand outside and we wanted to sweep up the patio area (also was windy which added to it) we resorted to cloth's we bought which took an age. So please consider this, as house keeping didn't clean outside.
All in all, loved it!
