Before we booked this hotel I looked at hotel reviews on various sites. Wow.. people complain about some bizarre things!
Our experience was excellent from start to finish.
The staff… they are kind, attentive and so helpful. The lady who cleaned our room, was delightful and cheerful every morning. The restaurant team chefs, managers, waiters/waitresses were friendly, provided excellent service and were constantly tidying and checking all ok.
The facilities are well maintained..pools spotless, gardeners constantly tidying up and plenty of sun loungers.
We were all inclusive but did go to the marina, cycled to El Golfo and walked to Puerto del Carmen. The hotel is in an excellent location.
My only advice to the hotel managers is put more than one person on the bars during peak time…it’s not great queuing in line behind 10 people.
The quality and variety of the food was also excellent as was the drinks offer. Maybe a better offer on all inclusive wines?
Overall.. just a fantastic hotel. We have been to several hotels in Lanzarote… but we will be definitely be coming back here.

We own a villa in Peurto Calero and have been coming to the island for up to 20 years. The only good thing about this villa is the location. The shower is good in the room. We had hardly any sleep because there rooms are joined together with interconnecting rooms which are very noisy when someone is next door. You can hear the tv, phone alarm, shower, the safe when there opening and closing. You can hear talking etc. It’s definitely not a 4 star experience. Then to make it worse, when we complained at reception they didn’t care, we’re not responsive at all and told we should have raised a concern sooner and there was nothing they could do. Very poor service. Had to wait nearly 20 minutes for the reception staff to print off a room invoice because they didn’t know how to! Whole place is very tired, even the new refurbished rooms have been done to a very cheap standard. Breakfast not great, we had it one day and went out the rest of the days even though it was included. Overall not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend anyone here, honestly I would pay the extra and stay at secrets resort.

Set in the beautiful Puerto Calero harbour this hotel is second to none. The food is plentiful and of high quality. The rooms are very clean and the reception staff are very responsive. The Costa Calero is well kept throughout. We would have liked to make more use of the many facilities but we were enjoying the fantastic cycling obtainable within the hotel complex.

Par excellent. No complaints. Lap pool is solar heated so don't expect a 26.5 swim. Food is very good. People are people situational awareness and anticipation of their next move makes for a run around the buffet.

I stayed in this hotel at the end of October with my mother. I was attending a wedding.
I love the fact that the hotel was situated in a quieter area but still lively. The harbour is but a short walk from the hotel with shops and places to eat.
There is a free shuttle from the hotel to Puerto del Carmen, so we were able to go to the beach with ease.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The amenities at the hotel were fantastic, from several pools to swim and relax at, very beautiful surroundings so it felt like a little bubble as there were no high rise building around.
The staff were absolutely wonderful, a big thank you to Miguel, he was always a delight! The food and beverages were fantastic with a wide choice of meals and everything was very tasty!
The wedding was beautiful. At sunset... the views were stunning, the food was delicious, the area where the dinner was held was beautifully decorated... All in all, a wonderful stay.
