Wasiq Paracha
Located a stones throw from the airport, it is easily accessible by local transport. There is a bus stop right outside, and we used it almost daily to commute to the Medina (4 MAD one way). It is right next to a (fairly decent) mall, with loads of shops and vendors.
The hotel itself is massive. The rooms are good size and well kept. There 4 pools, 2 outdoor and 2 indoor (and heated) which provide a perfect getaway whatever the weather has to offer.
The breakfast buffet was extraordinary, to say the least. Having stayed in numerous hotels, this was by far the most extensive. There was nothing that I could think of having in breakfast that wasn’t there, and the selection of what to eat daily did become overwhelming on the last day!!
The staff was very courteous and welcoming, and always ready to help. The only thing that could be seen as a space to improvement, was the housekeeping. And I say this as when compared to the overall quality of service of the hotel. The tea/coffee wasn’t restocked daily, and we were given one fresh towel per day, and had to ask another one when we saw the lovely ladies with their trolley in the corridor.
Can not recommend this place enough.
Top tip: try to book this place well in advance. The prices go up exponentially, and before you can say ‘blood hell’, all rooms get booked!!

Spent 5 nights.
The room was large and comfortable.
The staff was very helpful.
Location is really practical as very close to the medina.
Beautiful breakfast.
Great pool area.
However, the SPA was really disappointing.
The receptionist was not welcoming at all.
They ask you to pay before starting the treatment.
If you want to use the sauna and jacuzzi, you have to pay extra. Never heard of such a thing.
At the end of the treatment (which we have yet to get over as it was really unpleasant) we were told (not ask- told) to leave as it was the « breakfast time » (Ramadan).
You shouldn’t book guests late in the day if you are not prepared to let them enjoy the facilities and relax.
On another point, I found that being ask every time we wanted to charge something to the room if we had left a deposit with a card was a bit rude.
My friend got sick and we were allowed a late check out at 13.30 which was really helpful.

Great rooms, awesome pool and food. The location is away from the hustle bustle of Medina, but still walkable.
Amazing breakfast spread. Excellent service by the restaurant staff and the housekeeping.
Considering the amenities, very good value for money. Some of The rooms can do a bit of sourcing up, but otherwise definitely recommended.

We had the best hotel experience in a while here. The hospitality, the rooms, the hotel as a whole is extremely luxurious.
We booked our stay in off season and it turned out to be very reasonably priced with the breakfast included (the breakfast being the absolute best we’ve had in ages - with choices of all types available). The staff were so hospitable and friendly. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were my top pick.

My recent stay at Savoy le Grand Hotel Marrakesh was a major disappointment, falling far short of the standards expected from a 5-star establishment (even for a 5-star in this region I mean). The biggest issue overall was the complete lack of professionalism displayed by the staff, impacting every aspect of my stay.
* Multiple check-in mistakes
* 1 hour waiting for a simple midday lunch at the main restaurant of the hotel (starters & main courses served in the the same time...)
* 20minutes of waiting in order to get a cappuccino at the breakfast in the morning.
* Mulish Manager
* Hard if not impossible to have a proper table dress for lunch (either no glasses or napkins...)
* a couscous with literally one piece of meat...when we asked to the waiter if it was normal by magic he came back with more meat freshly done by the kitchen.
* Clogged shower and sink
The unprofessionalism permeated all levels of staff. I did not expect that they were all coming from best hospitality schools still there is a minimum common sense that the hotel management must tutor. There is a clear lack of training.
One incident that perfectly highlights the poor management at the hotel is a late-night call to my room at 2:30 am -yes in the middle of the night!- the reason for this absolutely crazy disruptive call? To give me my change. Because the day before at 6pm I decided to take an espresso at the bar of the lobby. The problem arose when I asked to charge my room for the espresso... The staff first then the concierge strongly insisted that I must pay right away because my room apparently lacked a deposit...so I let the concierge 50EUR as I was in a hurry (still he was telling me I should go to exchange Euro to local currency)...and believe it or not they then seriously decided to call my room in the middle of the night to inform me that they have my 50Eur change...
Did they truly believe I would skip out on a hotel bill over an espresso?
This incident, along with all others and the general lack of staff competence, completely ruined the experience.
++Cleaning room ladies were the only positive notes with some waiters who really do their bests++
If you're looking for a hotel that lives up to its 5-star rating, with professional and courteous staff, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
