We heard and read some bad things but you need to experience it your selves. Rooms are basic but clean and cleaned every day. Pool is lovely not enough room for everyone. The upper terrace views are beautiful 💕more sunbeds needed on both terraces..maybe a few table and chairs. We are enjoying it and loving happy hour too ..

About to start our last day here. We leave early tomorrow.
So the day starts with breakfast. Unlimited amount but very limited choice which does not alter at all. The usual tea, coffee, juice machines, 2 types of cereal, yogurt, cake, bread/toast and jam. But the hot food is some sort of bacon, small sausages and scrambled egg ... every day.
There is very tidy indoor seating but not enough to accommodate everyone at 9.30 which appears to be the busiest time. There is out door seating which is shaded at that time of day but is enjoyable as the sun comes around.
The room we were in was over looked by a side street. We were literally road level and our balcony was a meter from the perimeter fence. Luckily there was a young tree growing on the pavement as it offered a bit of privacy. The tiny tiny balcony had only one chair but we didn't sit out as we had no sun at all over this side. At least we did get some heat because its hot during the day. Single beds only, very plain rooms, hard beds and the curtains don't fit well. But the rooms are functional with decent storage and a fridge. But no kettle, no little tea bags milk and sugar etc. Small fridge which holds a few drinks and things.
Pool area is shabby and small maybe 20 beds. No umbrellas and literally a few small tables. No chairs, so if you don't get a bed I guess you have to stand at the poolside or get in the pool. One side of the pool surround is very narrow so beds can't be placed side by side. The buildings around the pool are shabby, on has no roof and his always visible from wherever you sit.
But her comes the great part ... the location! It's right on the old town. You leave the court yard turn left and there starts every shop, bar, restaurant, ice cream, cake shop, gift shop etc you'll ever need ! The square, a great little place is a 5 min walk. The beach same. Just along the road is a tunnel down to the beach. And it's a beautiful beach. There is a land train, stops a few hundred meters from hotel. Worth jumping on 6€ per adult.
Would I stay here again ... yes for the location only. There are other hotels with a great locality but obvs price will factor. Ours was a last minute booking and I believe we fell in lucky as apart from breakfast and two pool visits, we didn't spent much time around the hotel. There is too much to see and do to stay at the hotel.

Completely mislead about booking arrangements. We were booked for 3 days through a travel agent, but had leave after the first night. They were unwilling to help us in any way to get a refund. Our travel agent has been trying to contact them, and the hotel is refusing to work with our agent. The rest of our trip to Portugal was amazing. This was the worst customer service we've received anywhere. STAY AWAY/ DON'T TRUST FRONT DESK HELP

Excellent location 5 mins from the square and beach. Lovely outside area at front to relax also 2 roof terraces and swimming pool. Don't go by negative reviews this place is small clean and friendly. Sheets changed every second day room spotless. Going back September! Thought this had been sent.
We are here and lovely again 😍

Very clean, noisy, maids outside your door all day. People shouting all night and slamming doors. Can not believe they let people put towels on the chairs around the smallest poolside going. The stink of sewerage every night when we came home was something your nose needed to get use too. The girl at the bar was really helpful and fantastic.
