I stayed at this hotel for 5 days with my family, and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made our stay even more convenient.
My children, Omar and Hana, loved the hotel so much and had a wonderful time there. We all felt very happy and comfortable during our vacation.
I would also like to give a special thanks to the entertainment team. They are amazing, friendly, and full of positive energy. You can really see that they work from the heart and always try to make guests happy. We loved them so much and they made our holiday more fun and memorable.
Highly recommended hotel and I would definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful time at Vila Petra and are honestly so sad to be home. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was seamless thanks to the lovely receptionist. The hotel itself is beautiful, especially the lush plants throughout the interior.
The room was a standout—the kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with every utensil and gadget you could possibly need, which is so rare to find. We enjoyed the main pool and the indoor pool area, both of which were great. While we didn't participate in the evening entertainment, the gentleman who came around to update everyone each night was super friendly and helpful.
We ate at the restaurant once and the food was very high quality and constantly restocked. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close enough to the Strip for excitement, but near plenty of quieter local bars and restaurants too. Getting to the Old Town was a breeze and a very cheap Uber ride away. I highly recommend the villa rooms—we can't wait to go back!

We did a three week vacation here in November 2025. Our one bedroom suite was very large and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare basic meals, plus there was a dishwasher. We used all the facilities, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor pools, ate at all the restaurants, shopped for last minute essentials at the store and easily did our laundry on site at the laundromat. There were lots of restaurants close by, many within 200 to 300 metres distance. Our only disappointment was we had to walk 15 to 20 minutes to the beach; it would have been nice being closer to the water. What made the stay great was the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. As well, the staff from front desk to housekeeping, bar and restaurant, and all those who were involved with daily games and karaoke added to the experience of a fabulous holiday. We loved meeting up with fellow travellers at the end of each day in the Stone Bar; a chance to meet new people, socialize and join in on the quizzes and games by Bellux Entertainment. Special thanks go out to David, who was a bartender extraordinaire and Nadi who got everyone laughing and joining in the activities.

We selected a self catering apartment which turned out to be the perfect choice for us. It was cleaned daily and was of a good standard with a nice view. Albuferia has changed a lot since we last visited 28 years ago and parts we found parts of it quite rowdy, however this hotel was far enough away from the noise with a number of good restaurants nearby as well as a mini market downstairs selling all essentials. There was also an Aldi a few minutes walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again as it is a good base geographically for exploring the Algarve.

We thoroughly enjoyed our months stay at the Vila Petra. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, with pool view which was huge. We were 2 floors above the bar, which at times could be a little noisy and when smokers were on the outside terrace travelled into the apartment when the patio doors were open. The staff at this hotel are wonderful, especially reception, the pool maintenance guy and the entertainment team. Some of the bar staff and restaurant staff could be a little more engaging at times. Perhaps putting down their mobile phones may help. We went to the Saturday steak night a couple of times during our stay. The restaurant area is lovely and very relaxing. However the served steaks on both occasions left alot to be desired. I think they serve the smaller, cheaper steaks on the offer night. With regards to the Stone Bar. During the early part of our stay was a great place to have relaxing pre-dinner drinks, in a great adult environment. Later on in our stay unfortunately we stopped going in due to the amount of children asleep on the seating, running around, shouting, etc. This could easily be solved by perhaps having a separate family bar area. The pool and garden area at the Vila Petra is beautiful and very peaceful. With regards to location, the hotel is in a quiet residential area with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. We loved Double D for drinks on the terrace and The Royal Punjab, fantastic Indian food. I would recommend the Vila Petra when staying in Albufeira. The location worked well for us as we like to do a lot of walking but for some people it could be a little far out. However, that said for 5 euros or less you can pretty much get anywhere in Albufeira.
