We recently returned from a 5-day stay. This type of accommodation isn’t usually our first choice, but we wanted a budget-friendly getaway for our anniversary and decided to give it a try. We brought our baby along, and despite some reviews mentioning restrictions on inflatables, we had no issues using a baby pool float (seat), which was a relief. However older kids would be bored as it is a typical adults relaxing resort.
The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. However, the hotel could definitely benefit from a thorough deep clean—especially the apartment floors, as they left our socks black almost immediately.
We didn’t eat at the hotel, so we can’t comment on the food. That said, there’s a lovely bakery just around the corner with very friendly staff, which we really appreciated.
The area is fine if you enjoy hill walks or don’t mind relying on taxis. If you’re someone who prefers to stay local and relax, there are plenty of nearby bars and places to enjoy a drink. The resort itself was a bit too quiet for our liking, and overall, while we enjoyed our stay, we wouldn’t choose to return to this area and especially not with my older son as he would have been very bored!

I would never return to this hotel — it was a deeply disappointing experience.
The staff, in general, were rude and unhelpful, with one lifeguard in particular standing out for all the wrong reasons. He repeatedly prevented my son from using his inflatable and pool toys, even when the pool was completely empty. Strangely, these items are sold at the hotel, yet their use is prohibited — a complete contradiction and very frustrating for families.
What was even more concerning was the lifeguard's behavior. He was often absent from his post or distracted on his phone. It was clear that his focus was not on guest safety, which is especially troubling for families with young children who are not confident swimmers.
The enforcement of rules around the pool was inconsistent and unfair. While my child was scolded for having toys in the water, other guests were allowed to blast loud music — something that was supposedly also against the rules. This double standard was infuriating.
This hotel is absolutely not child-friendly. The lack of supervision, poor staff attitude, and mixed messaging about pool safety make it unsuitable for families. If you have young children or are expecting a relaxing, welcoming environment, I strongly advise you to stay elsewhere.

The most disappointing experience was on Monday, June 30th. The cleaner entered our room only to place the cleaning request sign inside, but no cleaning was done at all — dirty towels remained on the floor, and bins were still full. We had only requested cleaning every other day to be reasonable, so this was frustrating. Thankfully, another staff member kindly helped us by providing fresh towels and taking out the trash. We had to use Google Translate to explain the situation to a supervisor, who initially thought we had forgotten to put the sign out — which we had placed at 8 a.m.
Regarding housekeeping, this is where I deducted one star. On some days, the service was excellent — for example, on Friday, July 11th, our room (No. 149) was cleaned thoroughly: floors, bathrooms, beds, towels, kitchen cloths — everything was perfect. However, on other days, the service was inconsistent. Sometimes the floor wasn’t cleaned, or kitchen towels weren’t replaced.
We booked our stay through EasyJet Holidays, and everything went smoothly as expected. The location is quite convenient — there's a Lidl and other shops right next door, and small local businesses are located at the base of the building.
The property has two swimming pools: one more family-oriented and the other better suited for adults. However, during our two-week stay, we noticed that some guests were reserving sunbeds with towels as early as 8 a.m., even though the pool officially opens at 11 a.m. Unfortunately, no action was taken to address this.
The building is older but very well maintained. The hallways and common areas are mopped daily. The reception staff is very friendly and impressively multilingual.
The apartment itself was great — more like a full flat than a hotel room. It had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sofa bed (sleeps six total), two terraces, and a fully equipped kitchen (except for an oven). No complaints there. The only downside was the Wi-Fi, which stopped working reliably after 9 a.m. each day.
A big plus: when checking out, the reception allows you to store your luggage if your departure is later in the day.

Fantastic holiday just far from everything, no games allowed in pool , no entertainment , not really ideal if you have children that want to have fun with floats balls etc in pool but rooms very clean big . 40 euros to get to live areas and 21.50 euros on bus , swimming pools very deep, did not stop children staying in them all day but they would of loved floats or a ball or music 😀 lidl only a little walk and sports bar good

Just returned from a weeks stay at Vigilia apartments, was slightly nervous when dropped off , late at night, approximately 50 meters away and seemed like we were dropped at a shopping mall, however , quickly reassured and reception found, security guard on shift at the time was lovely, very helpful and welcoming,
We had 2 rooms, 124 and 162, both rooms were lovely and clean, very spacious, no balcony, ( but we knew that when we booked)
Very pleasantly surprised in the morning, the stunning sea views, absolutely amazing.
The pool on the top floor was the one we used and sunbathed by, was very cold but refreshing , the sun beds were comfortable enough, with plenty of availability along with parasols etc, the lifeguards on duty were pleasant and professional,
We had a bar snack at lunch time, reasonably priced and good value,
No glasses allowed by the pool so it was plastic cups and takeaway containers,
No ball games allowed in the pool , seemed strange but understandable as the pool is not too big and there are holiday makers that don’t want splashing or disturbing, rules are rules.
Had a buffet breakfast one morning , €10.60 per person, food wasn’t the best tbh, bacon was stuck to the baking tray, beans were cold, hash browns crunchy , however, stock was replenished around 930 with fresh food, maybe worth noting to go for breakfast a little later on.
We used the local supermarket and coffee shops, had a couple of breakfasts out, really reasonably priced, there are a couple of restaurants close by and worth a visit,
Lidl is a 3 minute walk away and stocks the majority of what you may need for a budget self catering holiday,
The location of the apartments are perfect, but VERY hilly and are surrounded by residential buildings and locals, (some of whom were disgruntled the English were in town)
We took the bus into Adeje for the day, was very busy and very expensive and we were glad to get back to our quieter apartment and location.
These apartments are perfect for a quiet holiday, in the sun,
If it’s party capital you’re after, you will need to stay elsewhere or travel by bus or taxi for the nightlife.
Overall, we had a lovely week, the weather was perfect, lots of sunshine and a very welcome break.
