I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 PM on a Sunday night, only to realize I had mistakenly booked for Monday night instead. My error which I accept completely. Fortunately, the receptionist informed me there was plenty of availability that night and kindly offered me a room. While he was sympathetic to my genuine mistake, he explained that I would need to authorize my credit card for the stay, as only the hotel manager in the morning had the authority to approve any exchange. As I had booked directly, a transfer of my original booking should not be a problem.
The next morning, when I spoke to a different receptionist, I was told I could not receive a refund because my booking had prevented them from selling a room on Monday night. This was clearly untrue, as the hotel had ample availability that day. I pointed out that the hotel was actually in a better position to sell a room at 9:00 AM than the one I had actually taken at 11:30 PM, and since the cleaning and laundry costs were the same, the hotel had not suffered any loss due to my error. Despite this, the receptionist was extremely rude and refused to let me speak with the manager.
The takeaway from my experience is this: if you expect basic decency, understanding, and good customer service, this is not the place to stay. Additionally, the rooms are outdated, reminiscent of a 1980s Travelodge. For a similar price, I recommend the Melia in Palma Bay, which offers nicer accommodations, better facilities, and far superior customer service. It is also much closer to the nice areas of Molinar and Portixol.

The place was very nice. The Staff were friendly and accommodating. The Pool area wasn't large but was nice and clean. The room I stayed was on the small side but the view of the beach and access to a balcony did help. The bathroom was spacious and tidy. The room came with a fridge which was useful and the fridge came with free water which was a nice touch. WiFi connection was decent not the fastest but enough for social media and checking emails. The location being close to the beach was also convenient. Overall I. had a good stay and would use the place again.

Really lovely hotel. Basic but clean, nicely decorated and lovely staff. I couldn’t believe how close it was to the beach and although maps says it will take 1 hour to walk to centre La Palma, it is probably 40/45 minutes and that goes quickly as it’s gorgeous scenery on route! Staff were so great, they helped me move rooms as the lift wasn’t working and I can’t climb too many stairs, they recommended places to eat & explained how to use the public transport. I have given this hotel a three star instead of four as the lift was broken, the pool table was out of order and the rooftop bar was closed. I feel if these things were fixed/open it would be a 4 star for sure. The pool is a lovely size, quiet and very clean. I would go back!

Simply amazing.
We had a great room with a beautiful sea view. The beach is 1 minute away from the hotel. Also full of restaurants and cafe places in the area. There is also a cycling path and running path close to the beach. You can rent a bike from the hotel for a whole day. The rooms are not very big, but they are very clean. The staff is very friendly and reception available 24/7. The hotel also has a pool available for the customers. Ciutat de Jardin is a very quiet and safe area and great for a holiday. The beach is big enough and made out of smooth sand. It is also situated 5 minutes by car from the airport and the shopping center. The bus station is also very close and you can use it to go to the city of Palma.

Pros: really friendly and welcoming staff, great location 2 minute’s walk from a fantastic beach, rooftop bar with modern aesthetic, scenic walk along the seafront to Palma but it will take you about an hour (or 30 min by bus)
Cons: small rooms with little to no soundproofing, lack of sockets (none next to bed), planes landing and taking off can be heard from rooms, no direct access to the airport via bus, breakfast was ok.
Overall, I found the quality of the rooms in particular to be lacking considering the price. And if you’re sensitive to noise, this may not be the best hotel for you. However, it’s nice enough as a short family getaway or perhaps for older guests, given the laid-back location outside the hustle and bustle of Palma.
