We stayed at the Tivoli Algarve in a Deluxe with Ocean View and Terrace for our honeymoon. It was the most expensive hotel we booked per night, on our trip throughout Portugal. It was the ONLY hotel we stayed at in Portugal that didn’t acknowledge our honeymoon in anyway, or our baby. (All our other hotels gifted baby a little stuffed animal and ourselves champagne and other treats). The rooms were gorgeous but the AC did not work our room and was 25 degrees throughout our stay and we woke up sweating. We did approach the front desk with this issue and they did not seem to care and the AC never did cool our room for our stay. We also arrived to our beds separated which I understand to be common throughout Europe, however every other hotel had them made together for our arrival. We were absolutely shocked the poor service at the pool, we had to ask multiple staff for drinks and service multiple times. The first day my husband had to walk to the bar 3x to ask for a beer before being severed, despite multiple servers walking around no one would stop to acknowledge us. On day 2 by the pool every server we flagged down did not speak English and had to get another server to help. It ended up being a very poor poolside service and we found it a bit difficult to communicate. We loved the location and the views were stunning. Shout out to Ricardo the door man he was absolutely impeccable and we really enjoyed running in to him from our first moment to the last!

five star location with a three star experience. Super ride front desk staff, however, amazing staff at the pool and the restaurants. I have seen that many resorts and all of their locations are old. It's clear that they don't reinvest their profits back into the business as their hotels are very old.... At least the one in Lisbon makes up with excellent customer service...
This location is very, very outdated the rooms all have gorgeous views, but just super boring seating. They don't have any couches or lounge chairs in their rooms with balconies.... The pool chairs are super old and uncomfortable.
Check-in was awful using the AMEX platinum resort booking. You're supposed to have all these upgrades and the hotel didn't give it to us and it was not a great experience out of all the hotels we stayed at and I've stayed at 10 over the last month in Portugal this felt like a three star resort.
Tivoli Clearly only has the best real estate, but they don't care about their actual customers. It seems like they're taking all the profits from the business and taking it into their pockets and not re-investing it for better future hotels really not worth it.!!!
This location is gorgeous and there's great restaurants and shops on the street but this hotel clearly does not care about the customer whatsoever.

We stayed 2 nights in July at this hotel. The room was basic but clean. The service at all the Restaurants was superb. They were attentive and kind. We really felt taken care of. Hats off to the complete staff for doing their best. Best hospitality in all of Europe.

I can't say enough great things about my stay at the Tivoli Carvoeiro! From check-in to check-out, the service was outstanding — every staff member was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make my stay special.
The breakfast was a daily highlight: absolutely delicious food with attentive service and breathtaking cliffside views in every direction. Room service was just as impressive, with high-quality meals delivered quickly.
The location is also unbeatable — just a short walk or complimentary shuttle to fantastic restaurants, shops, and the charming town center. It made exploring Carvoeiro so easy and enjoyable.
What really set this experience apart, though, was the kindness and honesty of the housekeeping team. I had accidentally left behind a brand-new pair of expensive sunglasses, and to my amazement, they were returned to me all the way in New York! That level of care and integrity is rare — and truly appreciated.
Tivoli Carvoeiro is a gem. I would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Algarve.

I was on the 6/F, room is tight as an upscale resort, I can hardly find place to put my second baggage. The checked in was slower than other hotels, and the corridor was barely decorated. I have to compliment that the view as excellent and the outside is spacious and not crowded. We did half board, it was acceptable but the beef my friend was eating was tough and our sea bass was good. The cod was tough and on average, I would not highly recommend the restaurant there.
