We spent a week at Theo Sunset Bay Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean, which was important for us, especially since it’s allergy-friendly (no pets allowed) – a big plus.
Breakfasts were tasty with a good variety each morning, and the staff was always welcoming and helpful. We also rented a car through the hotel’s rental service. The gentleman from the rental desk (supportive, black-haired guy – sorry we didn’t catch the name!) was incredibly helpful. He noticed a small issue with the car and fixed it immediately – very professional.
We’d also like to give a special thanks to Ms. Alessandra – always smiling, kind, and ready to help. Her positive energy and sense of humor really made a difference during our stay.
Overall, a peaceful, well-run hotel with great people. We’d happily come back!

An Amazing Stay – One of the Best Hotels We’ve Visited!
We travel a lot, and this was definitely one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The check-in and check-out were incredibly fast, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere. We especially loved the presence of so many well-cared-for cats, which added a unique charm. The food was outstanding—delicious, diverse, and plentiful at every meal.
Housekeeping was flawless, keeping our room spotless throughout our stay. Everything was perfect, and we would love to return. Highly recommended!

We were a family group of mixed ages. The kids had a good time at the pool (it was a little chilly outside and the inside pool is tiny) and they loved the self serve ice cream at the bar.
However...
We took the all inclusive deal, we had a good experience at other hotels - is easy with the kids and great for us when we want to grab a drink or a snack. The food was just not worth it. We're not picky eaters at all, but it was sub par. At breakfast there was very little selection of vegetables, same breads and baked goods every day. Some of the items were just awful looking - pale sausages, terrible looking scrambled eggs. I had the same every day - fried eggs (way too much oil), some bread, some cheese, some veggies. Salads were the same every day and not very good.
Lunch wasn't good. Definitely not worth it. Outdated food, bland, dry. The kids had nuggets and fries every day. I'm ashamed to admit that after the first day, so did I.
Dinner was halfway decent on some days, reminded me wedding food from the nineties.
The rooms are fairly large but very outdated. No USB ports, very little electrical outlets. The shower flooded every time - the seal under the glass was bad. Holes in the tiles, some rust. Everything was working, just barely.
They are generous with the towels, which smell clean.
We had a mechanical key to the room which was a pain, only one copy. Others had key cards, seems that just our system didn't work.
Good blackout blinds. Decent coffee capsules. The rooms have small tables and chairs inside and out, one tanning bed (for four people...).
The maid woke us up every morning at 0900 (don't judge, vacation!). When we asked her to come back later, she said she can't and left.
The hotel has a gym at the spa, a little old, but some selection of dumbbells, smith machine and cardio equipment. No gym towels available. No wipes, and I know for a fact it's not cleaned regularly. I overheard a guest asking to clean the restrooms after her kid used the facilities, and the spa receptionist got really upset with her and sent her to the hotel reception at a different building. Not cool at all, she had a phone and could have made the effort.
The bar was cool, beer and drinks, no munchies available for the all inclusive (beer nuts? Pretzels? Come on guys). It's a snack bar in the afternoon, and I have to say that I never had such a bad burger. Ever. And I had some crappy ones. For some reason they put live cucumber in each burger - instead of a pickle? I don't really know. The buns were not fresh. The patty was grey and did not taste good.
Pizza was halfway decent, definitely from frozen and not the good kind.
The Greek salad was OK.
Every night there's a live show at the bar - the performers are just unbelievably awful. Like the bad auditions on talent shows.
But the worst thing for me - the absolute worst - the coffee was just awful. I don't need a barista or anything fancy, just a nice espresso. No sugar even, just a simple coffee. The rooms had a machine with somewhat decent capsules (machine wasn't cleaned in a while... I could tell) but we got four capsules for five days. I drink three coffees just to start off the day.
They do have a good view and a nice pool.
The location isn't the best, we took the bus out a couple of days. Not a big deal if the food was good, but a pain when you want to get a decent dinner with everyone.
This place has potential, but definitely past it's prime. Will not come back and I don't feel I got my money's worth.

The hotel is in lovely location near the sea side, lovely views from the terrace, two outdoors swimming pools, separately apartments, bit stinky in the bathroom because of the drainage system, otherwise good standard. Most of the apartments located to have balcony with the sea view. Nice and helpful staff, delicious food, we had bed and breakfast- lots of choices food wise.
Few meters from the hotel, on the coast side you can find the coast path- mostly built, leading to the Pafos archaeological site- perfect for the bicycle trip- nearly 10 km long-maybe longer. Highly recommend 👌

Great value for money stay, rooms average size but very comfortable beds. Service is first class and the buffet breakfast and dinner are brilliant, lovely and fresh with lots of choices. Only slight negative is you really require a rental car which are very reasonable if booked from UK before travelling as the hotel is about 7 minutes drive back to central Paphos. The views from the hotel are beautiful and I am delighted with our choice to stay at the Theo Sunset Bay Hotel.
