We recently stayed at The Ixian Grand, and while we enjoyed parts of our holiday, there were definitely a few areas that could be improved.
The outside pool area is absolutely amazing – clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing in the sun. It’s definitely one of the highlights of the resort.
The food, although lacking in variety, was very tasty and well-prepared. We would have appreciated more options, especially for longer stays, but what was available was of good quality.
However, there were a few downsides. The cocktails were quite disappointing – watered down and lacking flavour, which was a shame considering the resort’s setting. Also, the lobby area is very small, so if the weather isn’t great, there really isn’t much indoor space to relax. We found ourselves stuck in the room a few times because of this.
Another point worth noting is the service – while not unfriendly, we didn’t feel that the staff truly put the customer first. At times it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than a guest, which did impact the overall experience.
Lastly, the stone beach wasn’t to our taste – if you’re a fan of soft sand, this might not be the beach for you.
All in all, The Ixian Grand offers a beautiful poolside setting and delicious meals, but it could be so much better with a few key improvements in service, indoor space, and drink quality.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel was perfect in every way.
We booked the suite with a private pool and sea view, and the room was just wow – spacious, comfortable, and exceeded all our expectations.
Important to note: If you book a suite (not a standard room), you have access to all the restaurants in the hotel. Guests with standard rooms can only dine in the main buffet restaurant, which honestly wasn’t great.
The food in the à la carte restaurants was excellent!
There are two downsides worth mentioning:
1. The gym is small, half of the treadmills weren’t working, and there’s no air conditioning.
2. The beach is rocky.
One more tip – if you book directly through the hotel’s website, you’re entitled to free shuttle service to and from the hotel.

Just about to leave the room for the final time and writing this review. We booked a short 5 night stay over Easter to grab some sun and this hotel seemed like a great idea.
Overall we have enjoyed our stay and say that hotel is great value for mi ey however a few things to all out:
Negatives:
Hotel is obviously of an age as seems tired in places.
Basics like public toilets not great with either no seats or no locks.
Although all inclusive choice if some drinks is limited, with a reluctances for cocktails.
Food is good although predictable and very much the same each day.
Although on a beach not really a usable beach as no sunbeds on the beach.
Limited evening entertainment with limited seating so meant most would have dinner and an early night
Not enough people service drinks, both at pool bar during the day and again in the evening in the main bar.
Positive:
Never an issue getting a sun lounger
No wrist bands or limitations on things as treated like adults.
Great size pool albeit very cold - but we got used to it.
The main positive point for this hotel is without doubt the people and the willingness to help and provide the best service possible.
For us we are not likely to return as will pay a little more to be closer to town next time, despite this good value for money and we will be leaving relaxed with positive thoughts if our first time in Rhodes.

Lovely Adult Only Hotel, with All Inclusive Dining and Drinks Mediterranean Style not 24/7 like Caribbean Resorts. Situated next to the Mediterranean Sea with easy access via a jetty. Lovely Swimming Pools and a very relaxed ambiance.

Amazing resort! Located in front of the sea in a quiet place. The staff is very nice and polite, we ate in the hotel restaurants and this was the best food we ate!! A real culinary experience! The chefs definitely know what they are doing... The rooms are large and comfortable, we had a sea view.
There were singers playing in the evening and it was really nice...
We will definitely come back again,Highly recommend!!!
