Best things first:
- there is clearly 5 stars for customer service. I have never met so authentic welcoming & friendly staff working on the pool bar, day in day out from 11am up to 22pm.
- Pool is clean, there is enough space for everyone.
- there is also a large and nice roof terrace with plenty of space for everyone who feels the pool area is too crowded.
- pricing of the pool bar is very customer friendly as well.
- if there is anything: the rooms are decent, clean enough (you might find a hair or two which don’t belong to you, there might also be an occasional ant - but his also happens in 4 stars hotels) and a bit of fresh paint would make a difference but considering the price this is ok.

We stayed 3 weeks in January 2026 at the Surfing Colours and while it has some very good points it also has some problems. First the good, the location is excellent, with good access to the Bristol area, Old Town and the commercial area. The hotel pool area is generally well maintained and reception is both helpful and friendly. There’s a little pool bar that opens around 11am for drinks and later snacks (bar staff are very nice). Lots of sun loungers and a heated main pool - all great. We upgraded to what we were told was a sky room with exclusive access to a roof terrace where it’s quiet and plenty of sun/shade. What lets this place down is the cleaning schedule and confusing information. We paid 315€ to upgrade but it honestly wasn’t worth it. The cleaning is optional at 35€ per day which we used a couple of times but if you upgrade it should be included (at least a couple of times). We have dietary restrictions but the room had no cooking facilities and a very small fridge plus kettle/coffee machine. I spoke to reception to see if we could change to a room with cooking but were not given this option. Instead they said we could pay another 10€ to use an access controlled shared kitchen (10€ per person access). I booked another room with Booking.com for my mother in law who got the cooking facilities at a much lower price. This was unacceptable to us, reception offered no reasonable explanation. We ended up eating at a friends apartment who lives in the Old Town, and then later using my mother in laws kitchen. Also the hotel workmen turn up around 6.30 each morning with a lot of talking and banging around the pool area each work day. With guests coming back late as well and not caring about others it can make for a night of limited sleep. I’m 50/50 whether we would return to Surfing Colours. It’s a good place let down by simple things.

Great 3 night stay. Friendly staff who were helpful. WiFi was reliable and fast. I like the sun terrace - a hot tub or jacuzzi would be a great addition! Also a fantastic Italian restaurant just a minute’s walk away, and the supermarket a little further down the road.

Myself and my daughter (22) had 5 nights here in October 2025. We loved the hotel and the location, which was in a quiet part to the northern tip of Corralejo. The hotel is small and friendly and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. No fighting for sunbeds early in the morning as they are kept locked up until 9:45am and put out ready for the pool opening at 10am which we found very refreshing! Every hotel should do this!!
Rooms were clean and had enough space. We had a street view above the main entrance but it was very quiet. No air con but there was a ceiling fan and with the patio door open this was fine.
Note: the rooftop sun terrace is only available for certain superior rooms, you need a special key card to access it. This wasn’t clear on the Jet2 website. We managed to get up there for a look and it was very peaceful but the downside is no pool.
Hotel is within 10 minutes walk of the music square and ferry to Lanzarote, 5 minutes from the seafront with bars and restaurants. I would definitely return!

I had a surf Seaview room with balcony, view nit great and no sun whatsoever.
I have an insect issue which the hitel dealt with. Lovely fresh pool and very friendly staff in the snack bar. Location is a bit out of town, taxi back is no more than a 5er.
