From the moment we arrived at Grand Villa Sol, we were made to feel so welcome. Freddy, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay – nothing was ever too much trouble, and you can really see how much he cares about the guests.
The entertainment staff were just incredible – full of energy, fun, and always making sure everyone was included. They kept us laughing, dancing, and smiling the whole time. You come here as guests, but you honestly leave as family – that’s exactly how it felt for us.
The food was another highlight – plenty of variety, delicious meals every day, and something for everyone. You can tell a lot of thought goes into keeping the quality high and the choices exciting.
All in all, this isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I can’t recommend Grand Villa Sol enough.

A Truly Dismal Hotel Stay, I wouldn't rate the hotel a one star never mind a three star.
Our recent stay at this hotel was, without exaggeration, the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was not going to be a pleasant trip.
Upon arrival, our room wasn't ready, forcing us to spend our first night in a completely different hotel. This inconvenient start set the tone for the rest of the week.
The problems continued when we finally got into our allocated room. The crockery was disgustingly dirty, still bearing food residue from previous guests – a clear sign of poor hygiene standards. The state of the bathroom and kitchen areas was equally appalling; both were grimy and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned.
Basic amenities were either missing, no toaster or microwave for self catering, extras which should have been part of the holiday costs came at an outrageous extra cost. There was no safe in the room, and to have air conditioning, we were charged an additional £50 for just one room, WiFi was £5 for each guest for 7 nights, so for a family of 4 it would be £20 a week for wifi. This felt like a deliberate attempt to nickel-and-dime guests, but sadly the whole of marmaris is about extracting the maximum amount of money out of you whilst giving very little in return.
The cleaning service, or lack thereof, was a major issue. The cleaners never changed our towels, forcing me to buy washing powder to clean them myself. In a seven-day stay, the bedding was only changed once. When the cleaner did eventually show up, all they did was empty the kitchen bin; no surfaces were wiped down whatsoever.
The staff's primary focus seemed to be on extracting more money from guests. They were constantly pushing for guests to spend on food and drinks, rather than providing decent service. This extended to the hotel's facilities. The garden was dreadful, and the pool was tiny with no lifeguard in attendance, raising serious safety concerns.
In my experience and honest opinion, Every negative review you might have read about this place is, unfortunately, accurate. This hotel is a complete letdown and I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to give their head a shake.

I wanted to share my recent experience during my two-week stay in July. Overall, it was quite an adventure, though there were some aspects worth mentioning.
Upon arrival, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which certainly set a positive tone for our stay. However, it did feel like there was a strong emphasis on encouraging us to spend money at the facility. The pool area was lovely, but I found it concerning that we couldn't bring our own drinks. The apartments themselves were adequate, featuring a small balcony and a kitchen with a kettle and fridge. However, the cooker was quite hazardous, giving an electric shock if you weren't wearing shoes. Additionally, it was disappointing that there was no microwave available.
Our apartment was equipped with one double bed and two single sofa beds, along with a television. We opted not to get air conditioning, as it was quite expensive, and given that it was only available in the bedroom. The internet was also an additional cost of 6 euros per device. While the room was kept clean for the most part, I found it inconvenient that the sheets were changed only once and there was a shortage of toilet paper. When I asked the reception for more, I was simply directed to a shop nearby. On a brighter note, the on-site restaurant and bar offered a good selection of food and entertainment until late, although there were cheaper restaurants in the area to consider.
The location is convenient, with a budget-friendly bus service that runs directly to the town center. Simply flag it down when it passes! Currency exchange services were also available at the hotel, with decent rates, while ATMs were just a short walk away.
Thank you for taking the time to read my reflections on my stay. I hope this insight proves helpful for anyone considering a visit.

A 2 week holiday here. Apartment was fine though a little shabby. Cooking facilities limited to a 2 ring electric hotplate with one stew pan and a type of frying pan, plus electric kettle.
Daily clean consisted of the bathroom and kitchen bins being emptied and a wet mop run round the floor.
We ate once here and it was good but preferred to eat out in different restaurants. Staff are attentive though they do push for you to eat, drink and stay at the complex for entertainment every day. Unfortunately they can be rude or downright ignore you if you choose to spend your money elsewhere.
Freddie is most helpful and will bend over backwards to try and sort any problems.

What an absolutely amazing hotel, situated Amutalan not far from bustling bars and restaurants but still quite a distance from the marina and the beach front but don't be put off as a dolmus drives past every 10 minutes or so, it is a self catering establishment but they provide food and drink in there bar and restaurant downstairs at cost
I didn't stay there but family members did and they absolutely loved it, i was a sole traveller and the management went that extra mile to make me feel comfortable and welcomed , i was there every day and sunbathed around the pool which is of medium size
All staff were pleasant and also very welcoming
Prices of food and drink were about average
The hotel holds a disabled entrance but i dont think there is a lift you would need to contact your travel provider to check. This hotel is highly recommended and from my view you wont be disappointed
Well done guys
