Sometimes there are places you go that just exceed even your wildest expectations. The resort is absolutely stunning, it feels like every corner you turn is another photo opportunity. The food is absolutely amazing and caters for a huge variety of tastes. The entertainment was incredible and sometimes quite honestly jaw dropping. 5 stars in every way without feeling pretentious in the slightest. But honestly the best thing was how we were treated by all the staff. Above and beyond anything I've ever experienced and I was simply blown away. I don't particularly want to single any staff out as they were all truly brilliant, however I'm going to anyway. Maria who was working in the Cabana bar, You showed such warmth and kindness towards both myself and my wife. We both felt like we'd known you for years and it was an absolute pleasure every time we were at the bar. The cabana may not have been the most picturesque of all the bars on the resort but it certainly became our favourite. My only advice would be to the owners and management, pay your staff well and keep them as long as you can. They are reason the resort is extra special and certainly why I'll be returning in the future.

Best hotel for vacation! We had a super nice time. Best and very large variety of cocktails. We had bigger expectations for the food but overall it was ok. When we ordered the vacation we ordered it with a different mail then the mail our membership was on and due to that we didn’t get the points and credits for our visit which was very disappointing… when we tried to get it to the correct mail and prove we’re the same person it didn’t work out… that really disappointed us and not sure it’ll be as worthy to come back once again without the benefit of the points and credits we could have collected. Overall other than this we had a really good time at the hotel.

We had the most incredible honeymoon at the Stella Island Luxury Resort and Spa. We arrived from Santorini after three days with a list of things we would like to see in Crete - that list quickly went out the window once we were greeted. The check in process was seamless and we made reservations at the restaurants for the week. We also downloaded the Stella Hotel app for references and services throughout our stay. We got the all inclusive package that ended at 11 pm but bars and room service were still open if you want to pay. Everyone on the staff is friendly, attentive, professional and prioritized our experience. Maria at the Cabana bar, Maria from the buffet restaurant and La Parilla and Giorgios at La Parilla were incredible to name a few. They pay close attention to any dietary restrictions and make sure every meal and drink is up to your standards. The rooms are well kept and stocked, the housekeeping crew is quick and do a great job. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and look forward to sending all of our friends! I stayed here during October for one week. The moment you walk in, you are greeted by staff and helped with the check-in process and handed a drink while you get set up. They have an app that makes it extremely easy to make your way around the resort, book reservations, and much more. The resort and rooms were very clean. As it is an adult only resort, it was very calm and a great place to relax. The pools were beautiful and staff were all very kind and accommodating. The restaurants were beyond what you'd expect for a resort. The food was of high quality, even at the buffet. The location was great and not too far from other areas if you plan on doing excursions or visiting other areas. And only about 25 minutes from the airport. I would highly recommend Stella resort to anyone looking to stay in Heraklion.
