I have given three stars to the location. Why? Well Tenerife is beautiful and many locations are as close to the beach and vibrant live around as this one. But Sol Arona seems to milk “location” way too much. Please just for the love of god buy new mattresses, put an effort on the quality of the rooms and facilities. Mind blowing that in this day and age you dare to charge the prices you charge for that quality. I have visited this island many times specially the north and I can tell you and everyone reading this, people here take very seriously quality in hospitality. Only one picture for those that want to understand my comment on facilities.
Update based on their response: in order to get a good bed, maybe call them ahead to know which rooms have decent mattresses. It seems it’s okay to have bad facilities. So, seems to them it’s the guest who doesn’t know how to book a room. By the way the prices are pretty much the same. Now, actually thanks for replying I forgot to tell you that you can hear everything from the hallway to the next room to the outside.

I've just come back from 10 nights here. Great location, only a couple of minutes walk to beach, shops, market, etc, and has a bus stop right outside for Siam Park, Siam Mall, and many other trips pick up there .The hotel is big and can be quite busy at times but the staff are brilliant and make sure you are happy. The food for an all-inclusive is actually really good, well cooked and lots of variety. The pool, in my opinion, is slightly small for the size of the hotel. Never had an issue using it or getting seats. The bar staff are great. One in particular Ruben, he's very friendly, funny and great with kids. The rooms are big and cleaned daily only thing is no air con but if you keep the windows open you get a nice breeze so no big deal. Overall they do a great job will definitely return !!!

Lovely base for a short stay. Stayed with b&b option. Breakfast was ok - plenty of it, nice surroundings, great views. No air con but expected and not too hot (though not at all cold) at the end of October. Only complaint was the uncomfortable mattress. An affordable stay for a quick couples trip. Fix the mattresses and we'd come back. 😊

10 night stay €1,500. The only positive is the location. Rooms are awful, you can hear every sound, every word of conversations in the rooms next to you, like they were in your room, very disconcerting. My key card for room stopped working each day, constantly having to go to reception to get a new one, where rude receptionist kept blaming me for the card not working 🤷♂️ €5 for a small plastic cup of beer, and had to keep using the same cup or pay €1 extra for new one. The gym is pointless, very little equipment, no aircon, it is unusable as a gym really. No aircon and no fridge in room. There was a very loud Trade Union protest outside the hotel in one of the days, perhaps explains the apathy of staff inside. With so many other places to stay in Tenerife for the same or less cost, I could not recommend this hotel.

Staff and location are ok. But the hotel itself is really in need of renovating cosmetically and infrastructure. We are on the first floor standard rooms, which come with a hefty price per night for what you get anyway let alone the out dated-ness. There is only 1 socket in the room for the TV and one in the bathroom. Impossible to charge things or do a little work if you need to. The beds are very old with mattresses probably 2-3 years and frames at least 10.
The most noticeable thing is the heat. You will go to shops and other locations all without Aircon, but non are as hot as this, however it is notably only on the main floor and floors 1 and 2. I'd like to think this is just heat from the kitchen and poor insulation. But from floor 3 upwards it's not at all hot. This is where the pricier rooms start, if I were more cynical I'd say they're almost heating the place just to drive upgrades.
The pool is in need of overhauling, the sunbeds have all but given up but the umbrellas are ok, if they had better bases.
All in all if you can afford somewhere better you really should avoid this place.
