The design of the rooms and the public spaces is incredible. The more you look, the more little design details you discover. The extras in the room actually feels like a nice change from the usual hotels, as it keeps things feeling clean and minimal. Also probably one of the best views of the resort from the privacy of your bed.
We don't normally dine at the hotel restaurant when travelling, but in this case, El Cortijo Santa Maria 1962 restaurant was hard to resist. Fantastic menu and a really cool setting to try some delicious Spanish food.
Service wise, we had no issues. Big shout out to the entire reception team for being so lovely. You guys make the hotel 10x times better by being so warm, welcoming and helpful. Thank you!

Went to the gym and SPA. Very nice place. Gym machines are not that modern. It's not too big but with enough to train. The swimming pool is small too and not that deep.
Nice sauna and Turkish bath areas!

Great location for golfers and very convenient to many superb golf courses in the area too.
The staff were very friendly and a special mention to Mohamed who was so very helpful and went out of his way to assist us with everything we needed.
The breakfast was great, although it was not a buffet style you could have as much as you wanted with an array of choice, so ended up being much more relaxed and enjoyable by offering waitress service for this.
Also Caddy was extremely efficient and so very friendly during breakfast.
The Hotel and facilities are wonderful and the rooms well equipped including comfy beds and pillows.
We hired a car and parked it just meters away from our room! Ideal for our golf gear. The only thing we had to be moved from our very sunny room due to ants coming in through our patio doors. The second room was a bit too shaded during early evenings when we used it the most. Apart from that everything was perfect for us.
We will be returning there!

Superb hotel!
SO Sotogrande is a new hotel in the SO chain, located about an hour's drive from Málaga airport, whether for a short stay of 2 or 3 nights or a stay of several days or even a week. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Despite the 152 rooms and suites, you don't feel like you're staying in a big hotel. Beautifully designed, surrounded by several golf courses, 3 swimming pools, suitable for both families with children and couples (adults only). The ideal base for golfers, with its own clubhouse and caddies, but also for those looking for peace and tranquillity!
The interior of the hotel is truly beautiful and was completely designed by a fashion designer, which is visible in every detail. We stayed in a junior suite, in a small modern pavilion with just 2 bedrooms! In one word stunning. An excellent king-size bed, plenty of wardrobes to store clothes and a bathroom with bathtub and shower. Amazing!
The food was excellent, with several restaurants and a wide choice of dishes. A la carte breakfast service on the beautiful terrace, in the bright sunshine, overlooking the golf course.
In addition to the facilities already mentioned, the hotel has a huge spa of no less than 2800 m², with an indoor thermal pool, panoramic sauna, hammam and gym overlooking the golf course.
We had a really lovely stay and everything was very well taken care of, would love to come back!
Remark: perhaps a small detail, but personally a world of difference: When 2 men or 2 women share a room, replace the bathrobes in the bathroom with 2x his or 2x hers instead of 1x his and 1x hers!

Ana & her lovely team at the SPA are wonderful! I was fortunate enough to be at the very talented hands of Evelyn for the 'Levante' deep tissue massage and I have never felt so relaxed and mentally recharged! Evelyn is graceful, elegant and knew exactly how to deeply massage away all of my tension & knots. I left on a cloud of peace! Highly recommend. Thank you again Ana and team 😊
