Beautiful complex. Friendly staff.
Lovely salt water pool and plenty of sunbeds..Great poolside bar..indoor soft play bowling etc free for guests staying at santa rosa..Fabulous clean apartments. 15-20 minute stroll to the square or 3 euros in a taxi..Plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Santa rosa wok just outside of the complex to the right amazing food. Supermarkets close by..also a pharmacy near the entrance..
Sports bar and quite a few bars and restaurants near by.
Fantastic place to stay for families or couples wanting a nice chilled atmosphere.will definitely be back.

Very clean and well kept properties, a little 10-15 min walk to main centre which suited us fine. Not to far from the airport so not sat on a bus for ages (25 mins) the pool was cold when went in Jan so not heated. Good gym. The pool bar was on par with the pubs surrounding the complex outside. Staff lovely and friendly. We were self catering so only tried the pool bar with was good but go for the local bocadlio ( small freshly baked bread) as the sandwiches were basic not quite English bread. Other main meals we saw at the bar ( which others had) looked good

We arrived when it was dark and found it difficult to find our room due to lots of broken lights. Our 4 year also tripped and fell and we only realised why the next day due to broken tiles. Our apartment was spacious but we had cockroaches. 5 upon arrival which i caught and put out a further 3 in the bedroom and 2 more a couple of days later. Our bed sheets were damp and room was freezing at night
The air con stayed on.cold mode and when changing to heat it just slowed the cold air around the room. Breakfast was basic, even tho we were breakfast included I bought cereal from the.shop as the hotel stuff was not the same. Complex was nice with 2 pools. In the photos it shows 3 but 1 pool is part of the next door Complex and fenced off. Water was freezing too so we didnt go in..softplay was ok.but used by locals and was always busy. Bowling was good but kept breaking down. So aye place looks nice but I star from me due to the poor maintenance and cockroaches. Oh and a lot of bins were full and not emptied. We won't stay here again.

Lovely complex but cockroaches and maintenance let's it down.
So we arrived Monday evening with 3 kids under 8. Check in was great. The guy on the desk was very professional and helpful. Lobby was nice.
We then had to find our complex using the map we were given.
It gets very dark at night in lanzarote and when we were looking for our room a lot of the ground lights were not working, we could not really see where we were going and what was under our feet. The map was easy enough to understand but finding the room was hard, especially with 3 kids and luggage and it was Darrrrrk.
We finally found our room but again we could not see the numbers unless we went up to the door and looked closely.
The fun really started when we got into our room.
Tripping over 4 or 5 cockroaches running about the room and spending 5 mins catching these in a glass and throwing out was not the welcome i expected. I then had to spend 10 minutes doing a room check so my daughters were not afraid. Catching a further 3 in the bedrooms i told my kids they were just like woodlice at home and we managed to get them settled.
So the rooms....
The superior 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was good, it had everything you needed, small kitchen area but good enough for 4 to sit around. The living area was ok, it had a sofa bed, coffee table and a large lcd tv which the previous people had used and forgot to logout of their you tube accounts which allowed my kids to watch ad free. So thanks Big Ed, Jennifer F and Luca.
The cleaners had left the windows open before we arrived to air the rooms, the outside shutters were locked which kept the room safe but the small gaps allowed in the roaches and once I got rid of them all we didnt see anymore for a further 2 days then 2 more ran out from under the fridge and one under the bed which was again was a drama catching them.
I think the complex is lovely but their maintenance and upkeep could be better. I did see a few grounds men around the place constantly working hard to trim the trees and one guy was working on replacing the broken tiles but there was a lot more tiles to fix and i think he could do with a few more helpers on this task.
Ive renovated a few house and I knew when walking around the place that they are not using enough adhesive to fit the tiles. Dot and dabbing adhesive to each tile is ok for walls but for underfoot they must have a good layer or they're gonna crack again and i think thats whats happening...
So bins.
There are a lot of bins around the complex but a lot of these are overflowing with rubbish and are not emptied. We put 3 large kinder boxes in the bin outside our room and 5 days later the bin was still full.
So good stuff.
Complex is lovely, pools are great even tho they were freezing in December and we didnt go in.
Breakfast was great, lots to each, fresh hot and cold foods inc fresh omlettes made to order and fresh pancakes for the kids.
Softplay is free for kids and also used by locals for birthday parties which was ok. The staff in here speak little english but they did a fantastic job and they keep a very close eye on the kids. There is a cafe next to it so relax and charge the phones while the kids play so we came here every day.
10 pin bowling is 5 euro each a game and my kids loved it but a note to the resort - your bowling frame is broken and dangerous to use with sharp edges sticking out. I will upload a photo.
Lots of restaurants and shops handy.
Beds and pillows were very comfortable
Cons.
Cochroaches, too many to relax and give a higher rating.
Bedding felt damp and was very cold at night.
Heating didnt work as it was stuck to Just blow the cold air around the place.
Would we stay here again.
Sadly NO. Place could really be fantastic if they sorted out the cons... the bugs, damp beds and bins really put us off so its a Bug No I mean a Big no from us.
Check out Lucas, Nigina and Zarina travel adventures for their youtube videos of the place.

I have a mixed opinion on the hotel.
Firstly I’d like to say the cleaners were so friendly and very good, the whole complex was incredibly clean and modern which was great.
The facilities were okay but very basic, there was no day time entertainment as advertised and other then a couple of low key pubs next door we had to get a taxi to the square to find any sort of entertainment (taxis incredibly cheap at €2.80). The pharmacy, gift shop and super market next door were very handy. Also having the ATM machine outside the hotel was really useful too.
Food had very limited options but what there was tasted delicious! The food at the poolside bar was equally as good. Drinks very reasonably priced.
The facilities for kids weren’t great, you had to pay for bowling which was a little annoying but not too pricey. The softplay was impressive but it was a nightmare for my little boy who’s autistic because the staff didn’t speak a word of English and was also open to the public so everyone there seemed to be locals. Every time we went there was a big birthday party going on so was a little overwhelming. Also there is a few broken slabs in the entrance way on the floor causing my disabled mum to trip and have a really nasty fall in front of everyone, no one came to help her which was very disappointing (I wasn’t there at the time).
Some staff members were lovely but most were really rude and we were often made to feel like a massive inconvenience, even a little smile towards them got a dirty look in return which was a little awkward.
The pool was ridiculously salty so was reluctant to get in at times as hurt my eyes. We all got in the pool in sunglasses and was very very cold. The poolside was so so slippery, my son slipped and banged his elbow and in the space of an hour another 2 people slipped over in different places around the pool.
The hotel was decent enough and served its purpose, the beds were very comfortable and the complex was nice and clean just limited entertainment and a few hazards that need looking in to. Staff need to be a little more user friendly.
TIP - download google translate because the workers English is very very limited but can’t complain as they are in their own country, we used it often and they were grateful when we did.
If you’re looking for lots to do it’s not the hotel for you especially families). There was a little park but as it was all plastic the heat made all the equipment boiling hot so the kids couldn’t use it. Excursions were ridiculous prices so if you plan to do some find cheaper tickets online before you travel 😊
Regardless of the negatives we had a lovely family holiday and the nearby beach was beautiful!
