We are currently staying here for a 21-night stay, and I wanted to leave a review that reflects the full experience — including how well the team handled an initial issue.
On arrival, we were allocated an apartment that unfortunately received very limited sunlight due to its position. As first-time guests, this was something we couldn’t have known in advance, and for a long winter stay it was difficult. We raised this with reception early on, and I would genuinely like to commend the team for how they handled the situation.
Although the resort was very busy, the staff listened, kept us informed, and clearly did their level best to find a solution. We were subsequently moved to a different apartment, and the difference has been huge. The new room is bright, sunny, comfortable, and has completely transformed our stay.
What really stood out was the professionalism, patience, and courtesy shown by the staff throughout. These things aren’t always easy to resolve, and it was reassuring to stay somewhere that takes guest feedback seriously and works hard to put things right.
The resort itself is well maintained, clean, and in a great location, and now that we are settled, we are thoroughly enjoying our holiday.
One small point worth mentioning for non-smokers is that while smoking is not permitted inside the apartments (with a fine applied), it is allowed on balconies. This will of course suit smokers, but it is something non-smokers may wish to be aware of, particularly if neighbouring balconies are occupied.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would like to thank the reception and management team for their efforts in resolving our concerns and helping us enjoy the remainder of our holiday.

We had such a fantastic stay at Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club.
We were lucky enough to have a suite right at the top of the hotel, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up and stepping out to see the ocean stretching out in front of you is something special. The suite itself was spacious, clean and well equipped — it felt more like a stylish apartment than a standard hotel room. Plenty of space to relax, a proper living area and everything maintained to a really high standard.
The whole resort has a relaxed, holiday atmosphere. The pool area is vibrant without feeling chaotic, and there are always plenty of loungers if you’re happy to go down at a reasonable time. The staff around the pool were brilliant — friendly, attentive and quick, even when it was busy.
Although we chose to eat out most evenings and explore the local restaurants (which are plentiful and within easy walking distance), the poolside food genuinely surprised us. It was fresh, generous and far better than your typical “snack bar” experience. Sitting by the pool with good food, a cold drink and the sun shining — it was one of those simple holiday moments that just works perfectly.
Location-wise, it’s ideal. You’re right by the marina with lovely sea views and a relaxed coastal feel. It’s quieter than the main tourist hotspots, which we really appreciated, but there’s still plenty nearby if you want restaurants, bars or a wander.
Overall, it’s a brilliant choice if you want space, views, comfort and a laid-back atmosphere. Our top-floor suite made it feel extra special, and we left feeling completely relaxed.
Would happily return.

Absolutely loved my short weekend stay at Santa Barbara. Hotel is immaculate and everywhere you looked, it was like a postcard.
It can get a bit confusing at first to try and find where to go, especially if your room is on the ends of the hotel but it's very accessible and lots of lifts and ramps which is useful for those with buggies or in a wheelchair. Level 4 is where reception and the entrance of the hotel is so keep that in mind when entering a lift to go out - level 4 is basically level 0.
Pool is a decent size and well cleaned by staff. You can book sunbeds in advance so there isn't a scramble for them every day.

I was very kindly upgraded to room 856 on the upper floor which is a 6-person apartment with balcony with sea view, and had winding staircase leading up to the topmost floor which had a jacuzzi and sunbeds that were secluded.
Room comes equipped with a full kitchen with all amenities and this was a god send for days you don't feel like going out. There is a filtered water tap so dont make the mistake of buying bottled water from the local Corivan shop.
The staff were friendly and spoke different languages and cleaning staff were angels.
Location of hotel is decent with a few restaurants within 5min walking distance nearby however it is away from the tourist hubbub so if you fancied something like a kebab or to do any excursions, it was a 25min cab ride away.
I wish I could have stayed longer! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Great stay with a few downsides
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time here! The resort is 100% clean and well-maintained. The staff and everyone working here are amazing – incredibly friendly, helpful, and funny. Top-notch service! The drinks at the bar during the live performances were also brilliant.
As for the downsides, the food in the restaurant was very poor quality (the only exception being the delicious croquettes). Additionally, the rooms could really use some refreshing, as they are starting to show signs of time and wear.
Despite these flaws, our overall experience was very positive!

Our stay at Santa Barbara Golf and Ocean Club was absolutely fantastic.
The service was exceptional — Paco and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind, warm, and helpful throughout our stay. We have visited many luxury hotels around the world, and honestly, we have never experienced such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere anywhere else.
A big thank you as well for making our anniversary stay special and for fulfilling our requests. Any small inconveniences were always resolved very quickly and efficiently, which we really appreciated.
Our apartment was amazing — huge, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a terrace with a jacuzzi and a beautiful sea view. It was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped.
We were also pleasantly surprised by all the thoughtful details: dishwasher tablets, washing machine detergent, coffee for the coffee machine, and paper towels were all provided. These small things really made a big difference.
One more huge plus was the water filter in the apartment, so we could drink filtered tap water. We have never seen such a solution in any other hotel before, and it was truly excellent.
The only thing we would improve slightly is the temperature of the large pool — it could be 2–3 degrees warmer ;)
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would be very happy to come back.
