Just returned from a wonderful holiday at Rocha Brava Resort. The apartments were clean and well stocked with everything you need. The sea view was amazing to wake up to each morning. The staff were all friendly and helpful but a special mention must go to Macy who runs the kids club. She is so lovely and keeps the children entertained and happy with an array of diverse and engaging activities. My little one loved spending time there, even tearing herself away from the gorgeous pools ( All four of them) which is saying something. The location of this resort is superb being so close to beautiful beaches and the town of Carvoeiro, which we loved. We will be back next year to meet the many lovely people who told us they go every year too.

We stayed in April 2025 for 10 days as a family of 5 (husband, wife, 9 year old plus 2 grand parents). We had a sea view villa and had a wonderful time.
The location is great and the sea view worth the premium we paid.
The villa was large with ample space for 5 of us. The villa was a bit tired and the place smelled a little musty. Overall it was fine but not particularly premium. The stand out issue was the beds - they were very uncomfortable - the mattress was thin and therefore a hard sleeping experience which caused terrible aches and pains.
The facilities were good - a number of pools, tennis/pickle ball, miniature golf and a good on-site cafe.
Location is excellent - easy walking distance to everything and a wonderful beach close by.
There are two supermarkets on site - on near the reception and another by Helder's bar. The one by Helder's bar is much cheaper. They both hold limited stock and strangely there is little food you would want to take back to the villa to eat (for example there was no chicken and little in the way of fruit and vegetables).
Overall a great place that I would stay again.

This is the most stunning resort in the Algarve, I have nothing negative to say. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful, especially when my daughter got locked in the bathroom as soon as we arrived! There's several beautiful swimming pools, a tennis court, a bar with delicious cocktails, a couple of shops and restaurants. There are loads of pretty plants and trees too. 10 out of 10. And the views were incredible.

The resort itself was very pleasant and clean.
Daytime reception staff were very impolite.
Three times daily was a free bus into Carvoeiro, booking required.
The pool area was clean, as was the small cafe and bar.
The food in the coffee shop was expensive for what we ordered (couldn't find the chicken in the wrap).
Nice little shop for basics, but pricey.
The apartment was not very clean. Cobwebs, dirty windows, you could see where mould was in the bathroom. The balcony was dirty, as was the furniture. Very old fashioned. Very close to the tennis courts. We also found that it was up for sale, probably why there was no interest in the apartment.
Wouldn't return to this resort. Apartment definitely not 4 star as quoted

Absolutely brilliant complex to say on. Staying in a 3 room villa, less than 5 minutes stroll to the main pool and main restaurant; less than 8 minutes to the Reception, Cafe and on site shop. All staff speak excellent English.
The gym/tennis court is an additional charge payable at the gym/tennis Reception (it's just behind the main pool).
3 pools, 1 is heated. There is a free mini bus to and from Carvoeiro at least 3 times a day (check in Reception).
The grounds are beautiful, and security patrol in the evening/night. Feels very very safe. Very family friendly. Wonderful place.
