Rented villa with pool for a week which was excellent then an apartment for a few days which was basic but ok. Whole site is a collection of individual villas apartments and bungalows well managed with great gardens and 4 pools. Fair old walk to a beach or Carvoeiro centre, although there are food shops, restaurants and a bar on site. It's not whatever Google seems to think a hotel

We just came back from a wonderful family holiday here. The one-bed apartment was absolutely huge and had two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Amazing value for money in terms of space. The apartment and villa complex is well maintained and attractively designed - not an ugly high rise building in sight. We stayed in an apartment that was about a 5-10 min walk uphill from the main reception. We had two smaller pools near the apartment but could also use the much larger ones at reception. They also provided a free travel cot for my toddler which was of very good quality.
Breakfast by the pool in the mornings was lovely.
The staff were lovely and thoroughly professional. When the washing machine didn't work in the apartment, the staff at reception kindly asked if we would like to send a load to housekeeping to have laundered for free.
One word of warning - Quinta do Paraiso is VERY hilly and I would definitely not recommend this resort for anyone with mobility issues.
We also had one whole day water cut which was seriously not pleasant, but it was not the fault of the resort but an issue in the locality.
All in all, the resort is a really nice calm environment for a holiday and it is clear that the staff all work really hard to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

Good location. 2 restaurants throughout the territory. 1st for breakfast, 2nd for dinner. There is a large area, and it would be good if the bars located near the pool were open, and it would also not hurt to have a cafe that would be open at least from 12 to 6 pm. This is purely my opinion. The area is large, clean, and the workers are responsive.

We stayed during the off season in May so the resort was quiet and lots of renovations and painting was happening but this did not interfere with our holiday. The room was very clean and during our 5 night stay, the sheets and towels were changed once.
The staff are incredible. Very friendly and welcoming and having breakfast by the pool every morning was lovely.
The resort is big and our room was a good 5 minute walk from reception up a hill. There are pools near reception and we also had a pool near our room.
To get into Carvoeiro, it is a 20 minute walk down hill so coming back is all up hill. Definitely feel it in the legs and would not recommend it to anyone with mobility issues.
Overall, a very good resort. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel for cheaper deals. 😜

For me this was an ideal location. We had a basic 2bed bungalow overlooking the pool. Everything was clean. Only thing the pillows were awful. Walking to the beach was fine. Coming back uphill not. Could have done with maybe 1.more shuttlebus time about 1. Staff were friendly. Cleaner excellent. Pools lovely. The area around (paving) could do with a serious revamp. All in all though a fabulous stay.
