Stayed in the village part of the hotel. Where you get a Villa (a 2 bedroom terraced house). Kitchen facilities all included. This is on the basic end of hotels and needs some updates. This said it's still a good hotel and ideal for families with young children. You have a front garden, huge back area where children can play safely and a roof space. Hotel has 2 pools with play areas (no life guards). If you choose breakfast option this is basic but adequate. Small bar/restaurant on site that does some good food. It's set in a quiet area about 15/20 minutes walk to beach. A few good restaurants nearby.

It is a real shame that I have to give this hotel one star. We travelled to Portugal for a wedding and this hotel was a perfect location so we could walk to the ceremony on the sea front. It was good value for money and we had a two bed apartment and a 1 bed apartment where my in laws were staying. Both were very spacious and the 2 bed had a washing machine which was great as we had our 3 young children with us. The pool you can access if you have a 2 bed apartment is great as it is much quieter than the bigger pool and both have playgrounds attached. Most of the staff were really friendly but the service really let this place down. My father in-law popped into reception and asked if they could provide us with a high chair. They did, however it took two days and two calls to reception. But the main reason we will not be returning is due to petty theft. We were out for the day and while we were out the towels were changed so we knew housekeeping had been. My husband asked me if I had eaten a packet of smarties. I hadn't. He had bought a multi pack of three so there was enough for one each for the kids etc. One had been taken!!! We then started checking the apartment to see if anything else was missing, when we realised they genuinely had been stolen, and went into the freezer and we had bought some fancy magnum mini ice cream balls. The box had been opened and 4 eaten!!! To be fair I rang reception and explained what had happened. He came straight over and we explained what had happened, all the chocolate had been out of reach of the children, no rubbish left etc we had bought it that morning at the intermarché and dropped it home before going straight out. He said he would investigate and come back to us the next day at the latest and would compensate us. He did not. To be honest it was not the financial issue or the cost of the items as it would have come to less than a fiver but it was the fact that it appears people had been in our private space and stolen from us. It was just so unsettling. Like I said we felt it worked great for us for a family but obviously will not be returning to somewhere where you don't feel safe. As my husband highlighted theft is theft. In addition the fact they stated they would make it right and they didn't. We had a lovely holiday but I really would avoid as it just puts such a downer on the holiday.

Amazing place to spend holidays! Nice very accommodation and clean, nice swimming pool, the restaurant is excellent and the people that work there are very friendly and helpful! Children have lots of fun! Totally recommend!!!
We go there on holidays for some years now, always amazing!

For many years we were frequent guests at Quinta das Figueirinhas and in recent years we moved to the UK and have not been there, but we have very fond memories of good times spent there.
We booked through expedia and when we arrived we were given an apartment on the 1st floor with no sunlight and no great chance of even getting some sun. It was only after we got in that we noticed these important details.
We went back to the reception and realized that the lady was using nonsensical arguments to avoid changing apartment, saying that they are all the same, furniture and everything (we do not complain about the furniture), maybe the furniture but not the rest, many get sun, many have mats, many have ovens, the arguments “they are all the same and if we wanted to change why could have said so before?!?” And that we had already used the apartment, it gets a lot of sun and faces south (falsely it faces East) how could we say without seeing it first?, we preferred to discreetly avoid getting into a confrontation due to the lack of professionalism
from the receptionist , which we had already noticed when we were at the reception and a man with a French accent came in and she immediately interrupted our check-in (although it had been brief) to serve him without even apologizing. I wonder if we were French or English, would we not have been assigned another room with the greatest kindness and smiles? Our mistake was being Portuguese because by the way there were many empty apartments facing the sun with mats during our entire stay (very few people on village). How do we know? Easy to do by the arrangement of the chairs stacked in front of the apartment and without movement the whole time, while others were always sunbathing or had open balconies, there were very few people.
We didn't make any big demands.
They could have said before about the lack of professionalism in the room argument (as if we didn't know what the one they assigned us was like).
Kitchen with very basic, no oven,
We couldn't get any sun in apartment facing east, seeing others taking sunbath from their apartments that we didn't have.
On Saturday the 5th there was no hot water (was irregular between lukewarm and cold) in the morning, the cleanliness outside the apartments also left something to be desired, we can see cups from drinks more than 2 days on stairs, rabish bags destroyed by birds spead along areas for days.

Large apartments and terrace. Staff helpful. A bit out of the way but 10-20 mins to supermarkets, restaurants and beaches. No oven. Othwise well equipped
