We had such a great stay at Prinsotel La Dorada! It’s the kind of place that instantly feels welcoming, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The location is amazing, not right on the beach but just a quick five min stroll to a gorgeous, quieter stretch near the nature reserve - please wake up early for the sunrise! The area around the hotel is full of great restaurants (though very very touristy) , and there so many excellent bike shops nearby too.
The hotel itself is spotless, with beautiful, well kept grounds and modern amenities. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet hit the spot every morning, even if it did start to feel a bit repetitive after a few days. The heated pool was lovely, though a touch on the small side for as many kids stay there.
My 8 year old was in heaven with the kids club, mini disco, and nightly entertainment. The kids club team was incredible, so kind and energetic, and they made every child feel like the star of the show.
The spa was a dream - sparkling clean, modern, and super relaxing after a long day in the sun. Just wish they marketed it better - i only discovered it on the last day!
A few hiccups worth mentioning though/the bathtub in our room never worked properly, and even though I asked the front desk to take a look, no one ever showed up. The air conditioning also wasn’t cooling, and although the front desk said someone would check, we later learned from another guest that the system had been turned off for the season, even though it was still quite warm. A little honesty there would’ve gone a long way. Because of the heat, we ended up sleeping with the balcony doors open, which unfortunately led to a ton of mosquito bites.
On the plus side, the drinks were great and cheaper than most spots outside the hotel, and the Grill restaurant was perfectly fine, just nothing to write home about but good!
All in all, it's a fantastic choice for families: clean, friendly, and ideally located for exploring Alcúdia. My kid would move into the kids club if she could! For couples or solo travelers I’d probably suggest looking elsewhere, but for families, this place really hits the mark!

The hotel complex is beautiful, and our Club room with private pool was very nice. We would also like to highlight Carolina, who was always kind, attentive, and genuinely tried her best to help us during our stay.
Unfortunately, the overall service of the hotel was far below what can be expected from a 4-star property. On the very first day, we experienced a highly unpleasant and unacceptable situation – another guest entered our room using his key card because he had stayed there just before us and still had access. This was a major breach of privacy and safety, something that should never happen.
Our room was also not properly prepared: the fruit basket, sweets, minibar and toiletries were missing, and even the shower gel was diluted with water. After it was finished, housekeeping did not replace it the next day. At breakfast, we were even served an omelette with noodles for soup instead of cheese, which shows a lack of basic attention to detail.
The restaurant service was also poorly organized. There was a fixed seating plan, which meant we could not simply sit where we wanted, and it all felt confusing. On top of that, in the Club half board we unexpectedly had to pay for drinks at dinner, which was never communicated in advance and clearly surprised other guests as well.
Overall, the hotel itself and the facilities are lovely, but the service, organization and room control were simply not at the standard of a 4-star hotel. Instead of enjoying peace and comfort at the start of our holiday, we had to deal with issues that should have been avoided completely.

We visited recently for our first family holiday outside the UK with our three year old. We had a fantastic time. Our son loved the many pools (though they were a touch cold) and having a two-bedroom suite made the stay much easier than it might have been in a hotel without that option. Food was OK, sometimes a little on the cold side. Staff we engaged with were all helpful. The room could have been cleaner, but overall was OK. There was a steamer in the room which was great, but nowhere to easily hang the clothes whilst steaming. Overall, we loved our first time in Mallorca as a family at the Prinsotel.

Our 1st time here for our family holiday, and we had a great time. It’s a family hotel with
A nice vibe.
Service was great, hotel is kept pristine, our room was cleaned every day.
There is no mad rush for the loungers, but if you turn up by 10am you will struggle to get one.
Restaurant can get busy at breakfast, but dinner it was always quiet for the 1st hour.
The food was very nice and plenty of choice.
You can hire bikes from reception, me and my son hired the ebikes at €9 and hour each, which I thought was really good value, we would ride them around the nature reserve at the back of the hotel, which was a lovely addition to our holiday.
We will be going back next year, and we are all looking forward to it. 🫶🏻

The hotel looks very nice at the first glance! But it comes with several disadvantages considering the price tag of over EUR 500 per day during the high season.
But first of all I have to give a high five to the staff! Great and very friendly people, from receptionist to the cleaning staff. All are really attentive and they also seem to work there with joy. They made us feel comfortable!
Now the bad things:
1. It‘s next to a kind of natural lake which is part of the ecological ecosystem in that region. Very nice indeed, as well as for mosquitoes! Being on the balcony or terrace in the evening is a kind of bad idea.
2. Due to these extensive lakes nearby it’s very humid. All of our clothes were clammy, even in the rooms.
3. The AC can’t handle the humidity and smells funny, even in the main building.
4. It’s a pure family (with small children) hotel, and therefore very noisy during the day. It’s not advertised like that but they even do animations for the kids many times per day. It felt like being in a family resort like Robinson with all the good and bad things. You may want to reconsider if your kids are a bit older.
5. It’s very noisy in the rooms on the ground floor during the day, especially in the morning, because everyone from the block is passing by your room to the breakfast restaurant. The children are yelling and running, nobody seems to care that there might be other people with a different agenda (like not having breakfast at 09:00 AM when on vacation).
6. The gym is very nice but it’s cooled down so much that we had to stop exercising after five minutes because it didn’t feel safe. It’s really chilly and it didn’t get any better after asking to adjust the temperature. I really don’t know why they cool it down so much, it’s simply not healthy when it’s 35 degrees outside.
7. The food in the restaurant looks very good but it tastes like an average buffet. We‘ve had much better ones in cheaper hotels. I would recommend to focus on quality over quantity. For example, Sushi is not a big piece of rice with a tiny piece if fish. If you need to search for the fish, it’s fishing.
