Second visit to the Prinstol and fourth to Cala D’or. Great location for a family holiday. Great family friendly hotel. Breakfast is good. Lunch at pool bar is reasonable and good selection on the menu. My daughter wanted to go to a kids camp for the first time after one of the girls asked would she like to go painting and looked to go several days after. Daniela took special care of her as she was a little shy. I did find it strange that her manager decided to move her to different location. My daughter wouldn’t go the last day as she wasn’t there. She was so kind and caring with my daughter.

We had an amazing week at Prinsotel Alba and will definitely be back! We only wish we had booked a longer stay.
Pros:
- Location, location, location! You have the beach, the shops and some great restaurants within under 5 minutes walk.
- Rooms are modern and well kept. Lovely power shower and the comfiest beds we’d experienced in Majorca (and we are a very tall family who usually struggles for legroom!)
- Kids club is amazing and staff are exceptional. They kept the kids so entertained from morning til night!
- Staff were always friendly and helpful - we spoke to everyone from the manager, to waiting staff, to cleaners and everyone is so keen to make sure you have a nice holiday.
- The amount of swimming pool options are brilliant - two kids splash pools, one kids swimming pool and a large deep pool too. So much choice! Plus the mini playground was very well received by our kids.
- Grounds are beautiful and well kept
- Others have complained about it being too noisy but we didn’t find this to be a problem at all and we travelled with a 1 and 3 year-old. We loved the varied evening entertainment - it wasn’t garish or tacky, just an interesting mix of live musicians and entertainers. The kids disco at 8pm every night was great and the kids club staff did an amazing job dressing up as different characters each night. Music was finished by 10pm.
Cons
- Rooms would benefit from a ‘kitchenette’. We appreciated having the microwave and kettle, but it was tricky to prepare food for the kids without a worktop area or a sink for washing up. Probably only a real issue if you have a young family like us.
- Some basic things are missing from the room which wouldn’t cost much to rectify (hooks on doors for towels/ jackets, some shelving and more wardrobe space). In the two-bedroom suites there was not enough wardrobe space for 4 people. But this isn’t a major issue.
Ultimately, we all agreed it was a great hotel and for the price we paid, we couldn’t be happier. We have stayed at much more expensive hotels in Cala D’or and preferred Prinsotel Alba. We are already dreaming about going back!

The staff is very kind. I booked the parking place, which is very nice. The hotel location is good, but the beach Gran is full of people. The room is really very average. The phone and TV in the living area don’t work. The coffee machine leaks, and the bathroom ceiling is also leaking. One of the towels had stains. Our room is on the ground floor, with a balcony facing the children’s playground. The bedroom windows also face a kids' water play area, so it’s very noisy during the day. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the photos — far too small for the number of guests at the hotel. In the morning, all the lounge chairs are already covered with towels. Evening entertainment is extremely loud as well. In the morning 8 am, the gardner began the gardening work, very noisy, so impossible to sleep in. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is definitely not the place for you. It feels more like a campsite, which I personally really dislike…

VERY HONEST REVIEW-DONT PAY FOR EVENING MEALS
My partner and I have just returned from a week at the Prinsotel. Here are our very honest pros and cons:
PROS: the hotel was nice, we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment, the bed was very comfy and the room was nice and clean. The hotel is in a good location to the coves and cala d'or restaurants and bars. The breakfast was good and the pool area was clean. The pool towels are free and can be changed daily. It is good for families with small children, but that's were it ends...
CONS: DO NOT BOOK the evening meals, the dinners were very limited in choice and the same each night, we were VERY disappointed so ended up eating out for half of the holiday. Also, my partner was unwell from the meat he had eaten there (we are always very careful being abroad, we drink bottled water) and when I told the manager my partner had been ill, he just said "can I get you a doctor" and "there had been no other complaints". Totally dismissive! There is a main pool (which is absolutely jam packed with kids) so not much room to swim, there are 2 smaller water areas, in seperare parts of the grounds, so all spaced out, it's like a complex with a road inbetween. The entertainment in the day was reasonable, but awful in the evening. It was nightmare to get a sunbed!!!!!! People were putting towels on the beds in the evening, as the beds were full when we got up at 6.30am each day to put our towels out. Most of the time guests had left the hotel pool towels on the beds and never turned up through the day, leaving some sunbeds unused, which was very unfair on guests who actually went to the pool area and were unable to get one. Really poor management of this hotel. I would NOT recommend this hotel if you are a couple or family with older children and are looking for a chilled area to relax and enjoy nice food and entertainment. Cala dor is lovely though, so be cautious about what hotel you choose and consider B&B and eat out each evening, as there are so many restaurants to choose from. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the prinsotel alba for 9 nights,
The location was perfect for us as very close to Cala gran beach and also shops/restaurants around the area
We stayed bed & breakfast
I think the breakfast can be better, the bacon being used was very thick and fatty and not good tbh I never saw anybody touching it, the sausages were hot dogs which was quite strange at breakfast and another day like boiled sausages in water again none of us would eat it as it didn’t look appetising, juices aren’t fresh they are cartoon juices, so I think things can be improved considering it’s a 4 star, I stayed at a 3 star hotel last year and the quality breakfast was much better also some of the slices of bread had mold on them one day, I can say the cakes were nice and my parents enjoyed the coffee but there was days we skipped it and went out for breakfast instead
The rooms were big and spacious with regular cleaning which was good but we was woken every day by a leaf blower at 7am outside our window which wasn’t ideal when you would like a lye in on holiday
The pools were great probably the highlight of our holiday, we could actually get a sunbed every day which was great and the small children pools where really ideal for my little one
The spa was £15 euros but was great and included fruit and drink so highly recommend doing that
Overall we would come back due to location and the rooms being good and the swimming pools but would not have breakfast here next time
Gave 3 stars because of breakfast quality & being woken daily so early by the noise level of staff not being considerate
