Stayed for 10 days in March. Such a gem of a hotel, perfect location the the hotel breakfast buffet was a highlight. The hotel communal areas are beautifully finished in a modern, surf boutique style and it is very very clean. You walk right out on the beach and nature reserve with lots of walking trails. There is a secure room to store your bike and surf equipment. The staff are really friendly. Was sad to find out when we arrived that we were staying on the 3rd floor, the only floor that hadn't yet been renovated to the beautiful new interior like the rest of the hotel. BUT it was still great. The interior of the room was a bit old fashioned, but everything was still spotlessly clean so it didn't matter to us. Great views from the balcony. I think they plan to renovate the 3rd floor later this year. Only thing was there was no air-conditioning in the room, unsure if the renovated rooms are the same or not. The reception gave us a couple of fans which helped, but not sure how great it would be in the hotter months.

The rooms are clean and the beds were comfy. However there could be some more lights and sometimes there was an unpleasant smell from the pipes in the bathroom (ground floor).
Breakfast is just perfect there! The food is good quality and tastes great, especially the eggs and tomatoes.

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend so it was my first time staying there. It’s a very clean place, and the rooms seem to have been renovated recently. Everything looks neat, breakfast was great, location I cannot complain at all, since it suited my needs perfectly - came there to surf. I like the fact, you are offered a surf box (10€/day) that is literally at the beach (you exit the place through a door and then it’s probably around 30m to the water). All the staff starting from the reception (hello Susi!) to the cleaning people and last but not least the waiters were super friendly and attentive. The above mentioned breakfast is plenty enough to get you started for a day of surfing. The restaurant was really amazing. Location wise it’s well situated for surfing, but if you want to go downtown El Medano it’s a nice stroll on the boardwalk. Supermarket can be reached in under 10min. Overall I can say, I loved every minute of my stay! Yes it might not be the cheapest compared to other hotels, BUT you’re getting the whole package for what you pay.
I stayed there end of November, so I cannot complain about non-existing air condition since I even slept with the windows open, as the relatively warm blanket required it.

The rooms were fine. If you want a balcony with a (beautiful!) ocean view, be sure to verify this when booking. Some of the rooms have just a dull garden view. The bar/restaurant was excellent (reservations recommended). This is more of a place for wind/kite surfers and hiking, so the staff wasn’t really prepared to help with what I think is really necessary for a tourist area: rentals, maps, tours and recommendations. They didn’t even have a simple map that you can get at every tourist center. As for the location itself, we really liked it but you must be aware that the tourist areas are at least 30 min. away by car. We rented a scooter from the next bigger town but we had to take a taxi to get there. There is an Uber but really much more expensive than the local taxis, which the front desk was able to help us with.

Avoid this place ! New owner... smelly bathroom, cockroaches in the bathroom and breakfast is now a disaster. 2 out of 3 days we had to clear and clean a table. Each day something was not available, no coffeecup, no knives, no bread, then there was no milk in the coffeemachine. Only 2 lady's had to take care of everything, they had to run between the tables. One day there was only 1 lady, she had to do everything. It was very stressful to have breakfast there. And it was really very dirty in this restaurant, no wonder so many hotel guests and employees got ill. We stayed there for 4 weeks in January, we have stayed in this hotel many times, maybe it looks a bit trendy now, the old decor is gone, but also the quality ...
