We’ve just returned from our very first family holiday and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll admit, I’m usually a bit of a “holiday snob” and tend to compare everything to Dubai standards — so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
The hotel turned out to be a brilliant choice for families. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and everything felt easy and relaxed. There were plenty of family-friendly touches, which made travelling with children much less stressful than I imagined
The shows were fab, my 8 month old and 3 year old were entertained sufficiently.
The food was 9/10 very tasty.we went all I
Inclusive and was SO worth it for a toddler that changed his mind all the time.
While it’s obviously a different experience from a luxury Dubai resort, the atmosphere here was warm, welcoming, and just what we needed for our first family trip. A mix bag of people which we expected but added to the entertainment some days. ( couple arguing early hours in the room next to us)
It exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a semi relaxed, enjoyable family holiday.
5 stars from a fussy high standard holiday snob x

Incredible hotel for families. The entertainment is AMAZING. The entertainers are so so talented and great with children. I have 3 kids and one is severely autistic and they were great with him too. The hotel staff are very helpful and I was in contact with them via email before my arrival. The food is lovely, bar staff are great. Life guards are really on the ball. It is a really safe place for kids. Great location too.
Rooms are very basic but clean and beds are very comfy. We will definitely return as it is good for all children and all ages. Thank you to all staff there for making our holiday

We really enjoyed our stay here, much more than we thought we would when even booking it. First off it looks better than the photos online, and theyve really done the entire pirate theme throughout the entire place. The location is great , which i learned how lucky we were on the jet2 coach transfer because we were on it for an hour doing other drop offs and alot of these other resorts are judt in blocks and blocks of nothing but neighboring resorts, whereas here is on a shopping and restraunt strip and a less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Its also right next door to a panaderia that is so cheap and lovely. The rooms were slightly dirty and sandy but I feel like just in the "way hotels can be" manor and not anything over board. I saw alot of reviews saying not to buy the all inclusive food package because food nearby was not expensive, and im not sure i agree on that, we spent probably €120 a day on food for a family of 2 adults and 2 small kids. For example theres a lovely Mexican taco restaurant right next door a few minutes walk, and each small street taco was £5 each, which is incredibly pricey. On the other hand one of our friends did the breakfast one time at the all inclduove because you can just walk up and pay, for like €15 or something for her husband and daughter and he said it wasnt worth it. There is a close by grocery store if you wanted to buy food yourself. We had a bottom room where we paid for the outdoor lounge area and thats been great with small kids because it has a door that goes right to the pool, direct access. 10/10 recommend. The other top rooms all have balconies though. Checkout is at noon which is great, check in is at 2pm but apparently theres a bag drop where if you come early you can leave your things and go explore. They offer late checkout that goes up to 8pm for €70 and you have to check morning of as its first come first serve. The AC seems to turn off every time you open the door which sucks for just one person leaving etc. Idk if its actually tied to it but it seems to be. We got a baby room that had all the baby things needed, I do recommend that, even for 1.5 year olds. They also offer free shows every night and discos at the pool (which by my photos you can see is great and have water slides, and tons od baby pools) the shows arent some tiny little performer acts , theyre actually trained dancers who are very impressive in their crafts and stunts. I honestly had the expectations, that this was going to be some little kids rink-a-dink hotel getaway , and I was impressed to see it really was so much more.

Would not recommend it - unless you are prepared for a disappointment.
Our terraced garden did not have the artificial grass shown. Our grandson slipped straight over onto the tiled floor, when coming out of the pool. It was never fixed. The kitchen did not have hot water - even after we complained. We chose self catering, but the equipment was no where near enough to cook for 5 of us. A slow electric hob & a microwave plus toaster - but only 2 electric points. Even our safe did not work. The buttons kept sticking and did not have any visible numbers or letters on show. The staff tried to rectify most of our problems but did not get the grass laid . The pools and slides are great for the children, but the water is cold. The Pirates were engaged in a fight on our arrival; which scared our grandaughter, and she was petrified to go outside again!

We had an amazing time with the family. The place could do with some updates lick of paint here and there. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food was ok. Good selection. The entertainment was brilliant. Everyone got involved, even the adults 😆 pirate and Halloween costumes. If you see a guy called Carlos, he works so hard he goes the extra mile for everyone. Thanks for an amazing time.
From the family on the big table.
