Marina Pine Forest is situated about a 20min walk or 5 min taxi from the Marina in Vilamoura. The apartments are on a hill which may be a factor for some. There are two pools one of which has a bar area. We stayed in block 1 which is old but kept clean and well serviced. We had an issue with odour and in fairness to the management they did offer to move us to another block but we declined. Each block is no more than one storey above ground level. Overall it was fine.

Had a great stay here. Very quiet area, but only a ten minute walk from the Marina. The apartment was a little tired looking, but very clean and had everything you could need. The staff were very friendly (one receptionist even lent me €2 to cover a taxi fare - I paid it back fyi 😄)
The communal pools were lovely and well kept. Location wise the hotel is in a quiet residential area. Very peaceful. Only a short walk from the marina and local supermarkets, and only 5 or 6 euro in a taxi if you dont want to walk. All in, its a very reasonably priced place to stay, and I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is a series of units. We were towards the back and found it to be a nice quiet setting. The neighborhood is in a posh, secure residential area and was about a 15 minute stroll down to the waterfront. We like to walk and so this setting offered us the best of both worlds. Our timing was during low season so crowds were not an issue for us at all.

Reception friendly and helpful. Studio apartments are on the ground floor and partly below, so feels like a bit of a dungeon. Feels a bit 70's as well. No patio of note and no sunbeds as other apartments have. Refused to provide them although there is a large grass area at the back facing the sun.
Dining room is quite modern and fresh; continental breakfast although not extensive is adequate.
The biggest thing that let's it down is that there is nothing anywhere near it other than block after block of residential properties. There is one restaurant about a 15min walk away, but no sign of a bar. The nearest activity with plenty of bars and restaurants is down at the marina, half an hour's walk or a taxi ride away.

Disgraceful room, smelled of damp, bed sheets had stains on them. Dark room and only 2 lights working. Deckchairs and a crubby table for out door furniture....no loungers. I told my concerns to the man in reception and he rolled his eyes at me and then wanted 130 euro to move us. I told him NO that we had paid enough and thank God we were only staying for 4 days. Swimming pool had some missing tiles and the girl in restaurant was very rude. We didn't know that table service started at 12 so when my husband ordered 2 coffees at 11 and then took his seat. The girl came with the 2 coffees and placed them with a bang on the table and went right up to his face and said table service starts at 12 ok...so rude and so unprofessional.
NO WAY 4 STAR.
AVOID THIS PLACE .
