I recently stayed at this charming old hotel, and while it had its quirks, it certainly left a lasting impression. The rooms were undeniably dated, with furnishings straight out of a bygone era, but they had a nostalgic charm to them. While the rooms appeared superficially clean, it was clear that they could benefit from a deeper cleaning. However, what truly set this hotel apart was its superb atmosphere and the outstanding service provided by the personnel. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, and throughout my stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sea views and the beautiful beach just steps away from the hotel.

We e had a great time here, even though the weather is somewhat cold. Great staff and service. Breakfast is fantastic. Gym and sauna etc is good and clean. Room is very nice, and unusually for a hotel, we have slept well!

The hotel is very nice however the rooms are looking a little worse for wear.
The restaurant buffet needs a bit of variety as they serve very similar dishes each day.
I booked a double bed and got twin bed so not ideal. Housekeeping service each day is very slow and often forget to replenish items.
The location so close to the beach and has multiple pools and a gym but no sauna as far as I am aware.
WiFi was a bit slow.

Amazing location, the staff was great! It was my boyfriend’s birthday and when we got back from an amazing day out they had left a bottle of sparkling wine in ice and a cake for him. It was so nice and honestly the hotel is such a great place to stay.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, above a fabulous beach. Very clean, comfortable rooms, tasteful public areas. Good buffet breakfast with great variety of food, all very fresh. Don't think the English type breakfast foods so great but everything else was excellent. Some parts not open such as pool bar as too early in the season. Evening buffet was good, but at €35 per head it's quite pricey. Not much choice for vegetarians but loads of lovely salad, cheese, fruit etc. We did wonder how they managed the excess food after guests have eaten as there were huge amounts still on display towards the end of service. Also a huge tuna used as a display - what happened after with that? I trust the sustainability is good but it was a concern. Drinks on the pricey side but still comparable to most hotel prices. The beach is truly outstanding. Nowhere to sit though, but I guess in season there are sun beds. Only a couple of the restaurants along the boardwalk open, and closed early. Food and drinks there good value for money. One criticism of the hotel is that there are no seats by the front fish pond which would be pleasant, also in the garden outside the bar, and no seats around the hotel complex except the bar. Also for the less able there are odd little steps everywhere, in the bar and reception, in the buffet area, round the pool, just need to be aware for those of us with sight or mobility issues. As others have mentioned, some public areas are quite dark and although I appreciate it's for atmosphere it's a bit disconcerting for some of us! All in all a lovely holiday. Some staff a bit cool, although most very friendly
