Honestly this was perfect. No frills but perfect if you’re looking for a simple vacation and the pool is great. Seems like they’re constantly improving it.
The book exchange in the reception is a nice touch too - some great reads!

Just spent nearly 4 weeks here. Had to leave early due to the nightly noise starting around midnight by the man lookng after the place. The quiet hours are not applied here at all.
Same chap is constantly spitting around the pool.

Would not recommend this place. Have been to Costa del Silencio many times before but the hotel we usually use has closed.
Had to phone to get the keys to the apartment, which was supposed to be a one bedroom but was just a large studio, no separate bedroom. We didn't complain as we just wanted a break from work and to get some sun.
During the second week the owner came and said we needed to move because the apartment was sold, and the new owner wanted it straight away. He did give us 150 euros by way of compensation, the new apartment was exactly the same.
When we we due to check out he would not let us stay as we had a late pick up for the airport, said that was the airlines fault. Then got stroppy when we asked about having a key to get back into reception area, as it was usually locked, to pick up our suitcases. Did not see anyone go into our previous apartment in the few days we were still there.
The fixtures and fittings are old, loose doors on kitchen fittings, bathroom flooded when having a shower.
Definitely not a 3 star complex

we spent here 12 days and were satisfied. sure it's not a 4-star hotel, basic and not new, but for the money it was a good option. the rooms were clean, the sheets and towels are changed once in a week. the reception is open very rare, but if you call them on phone, they are helpful. I just don't recommend the washing machine, clothes didn't get clean.
The village is dirty and doesn't look good at all, so better to have a car and explore other beaches. If you don't rent a car, it's not an ideal place to stay, we also just came to the apartment to sleep.. But the island has so much to offer, that you shouldn't stay in one place anyway..

Just spent 3 nights at Parque Carolina. I must admit after reading some of the reviews I was a little concerned. I got there at 10pm, there was a note on door with my name and 2 phone numbers. Called the 1st and a guy answered straight away, I told him my name "oh hello Stephen, did you have a good journey here? If you look on wall by door find box "D" the code is ****, if you have any issues then reception will be maned from 10am tomorrow". Found my room, ok it was like stepping back to the late 1990's but it was lovely and clean, the bathroom was spotless, if not maybe a little tired. And the bedding was fresh n clean. I was on ground floor and the Security Gate behind the patio door was strong and locked and I had to key to open it. The kitchen was well equipped. Ok the safe would not open, but I've travelled enough to find places around the room to hide things!! All in all for the price it was fine. Very little noise from other rooms.
