Here for an international dog show. Does service like this even exist?? Best service I have had in the past 20 years. The service is genuine, that is what makes it so special!! Amazing breakfast, location and lovely rooms. Not too exploited beach, Natural and beautiful. Dog friendly. Just amazing all around experience!!!

We booked this hotel for 4 nights over the easter break. As we arrived in our taxi to the hotel we were immediately greeted by a very friendly staff member which just set the tone for the hotel and brought smiles to our faces to arrive here. The service at this hotel was exceptional, they will do their best to cater to all your requirements with a smile on their faces. The hotel rooms were large with stunning views, the facilities and gym were amazing. The sunsets on the terrace area was outstanding with some excellent cocktail choices (one of the best old fashion's and margaritas ive had). If you do shisha, they also provide this in the hotel, this was also some of the smoothest shisha we have tried. It was a 5 star experience overall.

I travelled here at the end of March with my 10yo daughter and we stayed for 11 days on a half board basis. Upon checking in, I was asked for a €200/night deposit. I was a bit stunned by this since I had paid for half board, and challenged it. The deposit amount then reduced to €100/night, and I was told that this was the ‘policy’. I challenged it again and miraculously the ‘policy’ changed to a deposit amount of €500 total for the stay. Given that my final bill amounted to around €850, both the €100 and €200/night deposits would have left me out of pocket no doubt waiting several days for the refund to be processed. As it was, I received a note under my door on our last night, informing me that I could not charge any further purchases to the room since my deposit total had been reached. I’ve stayed in hotels of every class all over the world and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. It’s not what I expect from a supposedly 5 star resort, as were many of the experiences we encountered during our stay. On our first day we visited the main pool and my daughter made friends with some other girls. They were mid way through collecting ‘gems’ from the pool floor. The gems turned out to be loose tiles. Although admittedly it engaged them for several hours, in the end they had picked up more than 300 loose tiles from that pool floor. This was reported to the head of engineering, and admittedly the hotel seemed to take it seriously. The girls were given free ice cream and a €100 credit was applied to my bill for the shocking state of the pool. We elected not to return to that pool after the second day when my daughter and another girl around the same age developed sore blisters on their fingertips and toes which closely resembled chemical burns. Again this was reported to hotel management who arranged for us to see a doctor at their expense. Remarkably he claimed to have no idea what had caused the blisters, and stated he had never seen such a reaction before, yet simultaneously was adamant that it was not caused by the pool. The blisters healed on their own quite quickly after we used only the saltwater pool or the ocean. The cost of food and drinks at this hotel verges on theft. I was charged €27 for a 8” salami pizza on that first day. Another guest informed me that the pool service at the main pool was charging people full prices for what was actually the kids pizza. With this information I was again able to challenge the charge and a manager removed the cost entirely from my bill. I was starting to become concerned that things were not as I expected them to be from such a luxury Marriott property. The half board booking entitled us to eat from the main hotel restaurant (Lanes) or we could use a daily combined allowance of €58 at any of the other restaurants. One of my main reasons for choosing this hotel over the others was the choice of 6 different restaurants. 3 of these remained closed during our stay which was a massive disappointment. The French restaurant was open along with the Gallery which serves Asian inspired food. The daily allowance was barely enough to cover appetisers in both these restaurants and I would urge anyone booking on this basis to note that even with the allowance, you are going to be spending upwards of €50/couple for a decent meal with drinks. Given the location of the hotel, alternatives in the local vicinity are not really available, so the hotel essentially has a captive audience with little option but to eat at the hotel. Lanes itself went from a la carte to buffet style multiple times during our stay, it seems based on occupancy. The food itself at all the restaurants is pretty good and the Gallery and French restaurants are really outstanding with quality and service. The same cannot be said of Lanes. Service is abysmal at best. Staff are not remotely attentive and ignore people until they are called upon. My biggest complaint relates to the poor handling of my daughter’s peanut and tree nut allergy, of which the hotel was advised about in advance of our visit.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, especially thanks to the professionalism of Manager Cristina who promptly resolved an issue we had. The hotel itself is incredibly comfortable, and the entire staff is very friendly. Perfect for family and suitable also for couples, I highly recommend staying here!

5* plus. Park lane is a beautiful hotel. Staff are super friendly and a credit to the hotel. They were lovely to my two girls and making the extra effort really made it special for them. Indoor pool was lovely and kids are welcome. Can’t fault the hotel & staff in any way. We will be back again!
