I need to start the review by saying I have always been a sceptic of all inclusive holidays and wasn’t sure they were up my street, this was my first after my parents wouldn’t stop raving about it.
Based on my holiday I must admit I was incorrect as it was fantastic from start to finish. The hotel is a masterpiece with amazing gardens sprawling through all the areas and a stunning pool area overlooking the sea. The food was fantastic throughout and gave a lot of variety (I have particularly high standards as a former chef so was pleasantly surprised by this). We stayed in the least expensive room and even that felt luxurious. I highly recommend doing some touring around the island (especially the Cesar Manrique spots) and the activities on offer at the hotel (we did glass necklace making twice it was so fun!).
Finally, I have to give some plaudits to the staff - they were without a doubt the best bit of the holiday. Christina acted as a go to concierge the whole holiday and was amazing throughout. All of the entertainment team were great, but special mention has to go to Raquel who brought a positive fun energy to every interaction and was just a pleasure to be around. Beyond this, highly reccomend the spa where I had without a doubt the best massage I have ever had from Denise. Natalia (who also does a fabulous aloe Vera workshop) gave my pregnant partner a brilliant treatment too and catered to all of her needs and understanding and booking treatments is so easy with the help of Christina on reception.
If feels unfair only mentioning the people above as everyone at this hotel is exceptional bar none! I rarely write reviews and this is the longest I think I have ever written - totally justified and I could write a dissertation on my trip!

I had already stayed a few times in this fantastic hotel and it has always been a great experience. First of all the location and architecture of the building and pool, a must-see for Manrique fans 😉. The staff is very friendly and amiable and it is no problem to feel at home there, even when travelling on your own.
It is a perfect area to find rest and new energy, but also very well located to go out and explore Lanzarote.
My only subjective critique are the chairs on the balconies. I don't find them too comfortable for shorter persons 😅 but can work around by resting the legs on the other chair or on the front step of the balcony.
Apart from that, all comfortable, beds are great!
Already looking forward to return soon....

We have just returned from our 3rd visit to the Melia Salinas this year and have to say the level of service and quality of the food is still absolutely brilliant. We stayed in a Reserve room and it was well worth the extra. There is a special Reserve check-in, separate outside breakfast area with al a carte menu (special mention to Emanuel for suggestions and helpfulness), a quiet lounge with drinks and snacks all day, a separate Reserve seawater swimming pool with bali-beds and loungers and pool-side snacks + drinks. Special mention to Delgado and Jonathan who make the most divine cocktails and even bring them to your sun-lounger! In addition to the Reserve lounge there is also the 24hr Ginger bar in the main part of the hotel. The service here was also excellent, the serving staff touring around the tables (both inside and outside on the terrace) to make sure everyone had a drink. During the early evening there was often a live performance of maybe a guitar player, but from 21.00 pm to 22.30 pm there was the main event, a live performance of a band and it was always extremely popular, a different band/genre every night (eg Rock band, Bossanova jazz or Spanish flamenco dancers). Sometimes the performance was outside on the terrace in the warm evening weather and people danced, or sometimes a singer accompanied by a grand piano surrounded by hundreds of candles - very atmospheric. The main restaurant, the Malva Food Bazar, had an amazing variety of food, from buffet to specially cooked steaks or fish and there was always a daily themed area eg Seafood day or Mexican day. There was a good choice of 3 red wines, 2 whites, a rose or Cava with the food. In addition there were 2 al a carte restaurants open in the evenings which need to be pre-booked 48 hrs in advance. Tip: use the Melia app to book as early in the morning as you can (eg before 07.00am) or ask a member of the Reserve staff to help. The best restaurant, La Graciosa, is also open at lunch from 12.30, no booking needed at lunch. Tip: have the tapas selection and sit outside on the sunny terrace overlooking the sea. In the evening La Graciosa has only a set menu of local Canary Island specialities, it's still good. The Italian themed La Cappella restaurant is OK, but rather limited menu and none of our favourites this year, but the service is still good. Lastly the Samira restaurant with middle eastern cuisine which is great if you enjoy that particular cuisine. The hotel itself is stunningly striking and has quite a history. Tip: take the hotel tour to find out more. As usual, loads of activities, from yoga to pilates and beach volleyball, and afternoon workshops ranging from glass pendant making to aloe-vera, wine and even jam tasting (spoiler alert - there actually is a cactus jam). There is a spa and gym (which cost extra). The hotel also runs several complimentary Experiences of about 10 people, to the local wine estate for tastings, or to the local town, which have to be pre-booked. And last, but not least the hotel is right on the beach if you fancy an early morning swim. All in all it's a great hotel with exceptional service and good food and lovely people. We have already booked for Nov 2026.

Just back from our holiday. Just wanted to thank all the staff for the 5 star treatment we received.
Would like to mention the following people in particular. To the amazing, Soraya in entertainment such a beautiful, kind, bubbly young lady. Also, Blen and Hegoa also in entertainment.
The lovely Carlos in Reception who was our 1st point of contact with the hotel and he made us feel very welcomed.
I would like to say, that all staff, from the lovely young men who took our cases to the room, to all the bar staff, who made us our white Russians and whom we enjoyed a good laugh with. I'm sorry I don't have all their names.
The Entertainment at night was just amazing.
The pool, yes was cold but beautiful.
There are enough sun loungers for everyone.
The room was lovely, housekeeping done and amazing job of keeping the room clean and fresh towels/ and towels for sunbeds changed daily and fridge restocked daily.
The restaurants in the hotel were beautiful and again, staff just so knowledgeable about the food and so helpful especially Michael who served us in two of the restaurants. A lovely man, so pleasant and efficient.
Also a young man from the Circle team, do not have his name, but he is from Cuba, was another outstanding young man. A very pleasant and kind person, who again went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.
If I had to think of a negative, it would be not enough toilets. Only 2 toilets on main floor and none around the pool, not the end of the world mind you.
Very close to restaurants and bars, if you want change of scenery.
So I would highly recommend this hotel. Such a lovely time away and made to feel very welcomed and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Well done to all the staff.

The incredible Entertainment Team (Maria and team), made our stay truly exceptional. Every single member was professional, engaging, and genuine, ensuring every moment was great.
The creative workshops and activities were highlights: the glass making session resulted in beautiful souvenirs, and the bookmark making was a relaxing and fun activity. We also thoroughly enjoyed the movement classes, including the Latin dance class, pilates, and spin classes, which were all fantastic ways to stay active during our vacation. The team's enthusiasm, whether running a lively activity or simply sharing a kind word, was infectious. This is, without a doubt, the best hotel entertainment staff we have encountered.
Beyond the activities team, we must also highlight that all other hotel staff members were equally exceptional. From the front desk to housekeeping and dining services, the level of service and care across the entire hotel was outstanding and contributed greatly to our excellent stay.
Would highly recommend!
