I’m a grumpy traveler. I like finding what’s wrong. I compare everything to what it could have been. It’s annoying for the people I travel with, but it usually leads to better choices.
This was our fourth hotel in Greece. I came in ready to pick it apart. What would fall short? What wouldn’t live up?
Instead our stay was excellent. The staff made this place. Not in a generic “good service” way. In a consistent, thoughtful, above-and-beyond way that’s hard to fake (and apparently hard to find)!
Our room wasn’t ready at 12. I was ready to be annoyed. It was ready at 12:36, with an upgraded view. We then had lunch. I hesitated at the price of a gyro and ordered it anyway. It was worth it. While eating, I overheard a guest say it was his fourth or fifth stay and that he was happy to be back. I remember thinking, why would you come back to the same hotel? The staff member he was speaking to was so warm towards him... maybe that was it?
When the WiFi struggled on my laptop, someone came up quickly and fixed it. Turn-down service with water bottles was a small touch, but SO appreciated. Even the bathroom products were good enough that I looked them up later.
Our stay was wonderful. I get why someone would want to come back. This place is actually special.

From the moment we arrived, the customer service was disappointing. The front desk staff, particularly an employee named Efi, came across as unfriendly, unhelpful, and uninterested in addressing our concerns. A warm welcome and professional service are basic expectations at a resort, and unfortunately that was lacking throughout our stay.
The property itself is outdated and in need of significant renovation. The amenities were limited and did not meet the standards advertised. Our room was small, old, and equipped with an aging ceiling-mounted air-conditioning unit that looked and sounded like it belonged decades ago. The overall condition of the room felt worn and neglected.
One of the biggest disappointments was the room view. We paid for what was advertised as an ocean-view room, expecting a panoramic view as described during booking. Instead, the view was partial and nowhere near what was represented. It felt misleading and certainly not worth the premium price.
To make matters worse, there was a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom during our stay. This created an uncomfortable environment and raised concerns about the maintenance and cleanliness of the property.
This hotel was advertised as a “fine hotel and resort,” according to American Express, but my experience felt much closer to a budget motel than a resort property.
We also had an American Express hotel credit that was supposed to be available for use during our stay, but the hotel manager did not allow us to use it. This was extremely frustrating, as the $100 credit was one of the benefits that influenced our decision to book this property. The lack of clear communication and refusal to honor the credit added to our overall disappointment.
Considering the price, the condition of the hotel, the lackluster amenities, the misleading room description, and the poor customer service, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a true resort experience.

Amazing hotel! The hotel was super pretty. Rooms were comfortable, pretty, modern, and spacious. Breakfast was so good as well. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Best hotel I've stayed that I can remember. You really feel you are at a 5-start hotel. Take advantage of the transportation from the hotel. They'll charge you a very reasonable flat fee vs fighting with random taxi drivers

Only 15min away from all the action but this hotel is well worth the extra travel. We stayed 3 nights. It's beautiful, calm and immaculate. The quality of the food and service is pure luxury.

Exceptional. We had the room with a balcony. Everything was top tier from the service to the breakfast. Absolutely recommend this hotel. The location is a few miles out from the main town but you have the beach within a short walk and plenty of restaurants.
