- We had a lovely big balcony with sea views and you could see the evening entertainment from there which was good (most rooms don't have this we were lucky)
- The fridge was very nice and cold for our beverages
- It was only a short walk to the beach which was a nice beach that had two nice restaurants on it
- The cleaners were very nice ladies
- When checking in we were told we would be escorted to our room, we were left outside with our bags for around 15 minutes, out of sight of any staff members.
This didn't give us the best first impression.
- The lady who checked us in missed out a lot of information like where the hotel's restaurant was, what the check out time was, where the shuttle picks you up from, how to turn on the air con, so we had to figure this out on our own or go back and ask reception.
- The safe in our room didn't work which was annoying for us as we did have things we wanted to put in there.
- The room was really outdated and looks different to the pictures online
- We didn't use the pool as it looked crusty and the pool also looks very different to pictures online (we got catfished)
- No tea and coffee station in rooms even though there is a kitchen in the room
- The kitchen has old cupboards which are empty! No plates or cutlery or anything. The kitchen literally is a sink and fridge
- When selecting rooms it asks if you want two single beds or one double and we picked one double but got two singles beds pushed together.
- The shower curtain pole was broken and being held up by a chain and hook attached to the ceiling, not sure why they did that when it looks like an easy fix to just fix the shower curtain pole.
- The ceiling almost looks like an office ceiling so maybe used to be an office? They really should of changed that.
- There were some ants in the room, they could of entered through the massive gaps at the top and bottom of the front door.
- The floor of the bathtub is yellow so we wore our flip flops when showering because it looked a bit gross.
The hotel is spread across a wide piece of land so some of the rooms will be a far walk from reception. The hotel is in steep hill so some rooms to get to them you may have to walk up and down this hill all the time which is inconvenient.

We returned from a trip to Albufeira and stayed at this hotel. Although the food wasn't 5-star, we enjoyed the all-inclusive service. The drinks were good, and we enjoyed the poolside snack bar. The staff were very friendly. I'd like to highlight the entertainment team. A special mention goes to Destiny, who entertained us immensely at the activities. Very funny guy. We loved watching the crazy show put on by the animation team. Congratulations to everyone involved, because it made us and our children laugh a lot. You all very talented. One highlight I'd like to give would be to the girl who performed in the crazy show. Incredible presence and great charisma. I think her name is Lina, We apologize if that's not her name. But it was the only time we heard her name.
The hotel's location is fantastic, and the cleanliness in the common areas was okay but could be improved. We hope to return next year despite the less positive aspects. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

This is our last full day at the hotel. We arrived after midnight due to the national power outage with electricity only restored to the hotel 20 minutes before. We received a warm greeting, a picnic supper and the receptionist carried our bags to our apartment. We read previous reviews and, if so minded, could post our own photos copying the defects. But that would be petty. Without exception, the staff have been wonderful, showing kindness and warmth to young and old. The food is wonderful, with a never-ending choice. There is even a free shuttle- bus to Albufeira. During this week so much has been 5 star at 3 star prices. Well done the team at Hotel Monica Isabel!

Visited 12-19 May room 705. Room was spacious well equipped, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful and efficient. Although meals were buffet style there was ample choice. Location was faultless. Two observations though, staying on 7th Floor you are directly below the restaurant and it appears that the trolleys have hard plastic wheels which create lots of noise on the tiled floor which reverberates to the floor below, this starts around 6am and 10pm would suggest either rubber or pneumatic wheels be fitted. Also when restaurant staff moving chairs, perhaps also fit rubber boots on chair feet.
Apart from these it was a lovely holiday and would recommend.

We have just returned from a great holiday at this hotel. This place exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was fantastic, right next to the beach and small walk away from the pool area. We were all inclusive and were impressed with the selection of food, and drinks as well as snacks available throughout the day. The views from the hotel were amazing, including the views from the restaurant, especially during sunset. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to the old town and back 3/4 times a day which we thought was a great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were big and clean and the cocktails were strong! Will definitely be returning, highly recommend this hotel.
