We stayed at Mitsis Summer Palace from 12–17 October last year as a family of six, and although some time has passed since our visit, we wanted to share our experience. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing holiday. The renovated rooms were beautiful, modern and stylish, with breathtaking views over the infinity pool and sea — definitely the highlight of our stay.
The grounds and exterior areas felt fresh and well maintained, but the main indoor areas, including reception and seating spaces, would benefit from renovation to match the updated rooms and overall aesthetic. The main buffet was the area that let the resort down, as the variety and quality didn’t quite reflect the five-star standard seen elsewhere in the hotel. Elevating the buffet offering to the same level as the à la carte restaurants would make a significant difference to the overall experience. It would also be a great addition if guests could access facilities such as the padel courts at Norida Resort to enhance the resort offering further.
On the positive side, the à la carte restaurants — especially The Med — were excellent, and the service across the hotel was outstanding. Special thanks to Alexis (The Med), Ivan & Federica (Reception), Anarchy (Buffet), Charlene (Bar), and the wonderful Filipino staff, who were incredibly hardworking, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. The team at Mitsis truly made the experience memorable.
With improvements to the indoor spaces and buffet variety, this would easily feel like a consistently strong five-star resort. That said, the views alone are spectacular, and we genuinely appreciated the level of service we received.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the atmosphere is relaxing.
A special mention goes to Alexis at Med Restaurant — he is absolutely amazing! Very polite, professional, welcoming, and always smiling. He made our dining and brunch experience even more enjoyable with his excellent service and positive attitude. Thank you, Alexis, for making us feel so well taken care of!
Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back again.

The room was amazing! We had a sea view room with a plunge pool and it did not disappoint- looked exactly like the pictures.. maybe even better! The room itself was immaculate. Couldn’t fault it.
The staff were wonderful, so friendly also couldn’t fault them.
The location is beautiful, it’s about a 5km walk from Kardemenia which was a nice place to go for some food and drinks, but anywhere else you’d have to hire a car. Which wasn’t bad (€50 for the day).
If I had to critique anything, I’d say the food was OK - nothing special really and the entertainment was non existent, started late every night and wasn’t really entertaining, we left most nights before it finished. But it didn’t spoil our stay at all.
Overall - beautiful hotel and friendly staff

Came here for a lovely little week away! Really nice location and the views were beautiful. We had a room with a private plunge pool which was wonderful!
The food across all restaurants was really nice but I found you had to order all your drinks at the start as the waiters were busy the whole time so it was hard to sometimes get their attention for more, but I suppose being popular this happens! What I enjoyed is they took the time to talk to you and not only ask how you are but give advice on local things to do!
Speaking of, the closest town is an hour walk away but this is along the coast. There is also a bus for €2 euros each way which took 10 minutes at most. To get to old town there is a bus service from the hotel which was €4 each way. Be aware there is only one bus there and one back and it gives you about 4 hours in the town but we found this was enough!
The entertainment was cheesy, but we enjoyed it!
Overall, I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star but a very strong 4. The reason I say that is there were just a few things here and there where the quality dipped. I would however recommend to anyone really!

We stayed at the Mitsis Summer Palace for a week and booked a Junior Suite with a Plunge Pool and Sea View. The location of the hotel is very nice, and you can reach everything in the area easily by walking. However, we were disappointed with how some staff handled our issues, as several problems during our stay were not easily resolved. The food in the restaurants is okay, but definitely far from 5-star quality. In general, this resort feels more like a 4-star All-Inclusive.
Location: Very nice and close to the beach.
Room: Good but not well-maintained. We had several issues and even had to change rooms once. Be prepared to hear your neighbors, as the rooms are not very soundproof. Also, a big minus point: the lights from the wall switches are way too bright at night. The bed‘s are not the most comfortable as they are missing a slatted frame.
Food: Overall okay, but I wouldn't stay longer than a week. The quality isn't what you'd expect from a hotel in this class, and the food gets repetitive in the main restaurant. The Zia Snack bar at the beach was our favorite spot overall, and Dusk Bar was the best restaurant experience we had on-site.
Staff: Overall amazing, especially in the restaurants. However, we had some bad experiences when trying to resolve room issues; we had to be very pushy to finally get a solution. This seems to be more of a management issue rather than the general staff.
Beach: Amazing view and enough places to chill and relax with a Bar and the Zia Snack Station. The Umbrellas do give some Shadow but still use sunscreen as we had to learn the hard way as some other guests did.
Summary: If you want a relaxing holiday with a quiet atmosphere and great food, there are probably better alternatives, especially for the price. We also had two sleepless nights due to heavy rainfall and an electrical failure that caused our ceiling fan to turn on and off automatically in the middle of the night. In the end, we were given a complimentary fruit platter and a whopping 2.6% refund for those two sleepless nights—so you can draw your own conclusions. 3 out of 5 Stars are very generous!
Edit: On our last night, we were invited to a cocktail party with the management. Someone from the leadership team took the time to explain the whole situation and sincerely apologized again, which we truly appreciated! Good news for future guests as well: the menus at the Main Restaurant will now change throughout the week, which is a great improvement. A special thanks to the entire team at the Mitsis Hotel, who went above and beyond to make our stay ten times better despite the initial hiccups.
