This is classed as 3 stars, once upon a time it looks like it was but has been left uncared for.
All-inclusive to them means meat balls morning noon and night, we hate out most nights as the food so dreadful, rooms cleaned every 3rd day they swept the floor, only changed the towels when we complained and there towels aren't fit to dry our dogs with. Only changed the bed sheets once in ten days. We have been to Içmeler several times and have had great holidays, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a homeless person, AVOID at all costs.

I am currently writing this review whilst still at the Mersoy Bellavist hotel. Firstly the good things about the hotel. The hotel is located in a good area that is only up the road from the beach. And Is also surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants. The rooms are alright. Nothing fancy but do the job. When we arrived the pool was amazing for the first 3 to 4 days. Then they buggered up the chlorine concentration and turned it into a murkey puddle.
Onto the cons- when we arrived at the hotel the staff initially refused to let us check in stating that check in could only be done after 14.00. After arguing with the rude receptionist that we had paid for the previous day he magically found our room.
Onto the cleaning, or should I say lack of cleaning because to be quite honest I don't know what they do. On multiple occasions me or my partner had to get our own towels or toilet roll from the staff storage cupboard. The chery on the cake was when the cleaner gestured towards us that we needed to pay them. We refused.
The final and worst con of the trip was the food. Now just to paint the picture I play rugby in the front row and will eat anything you put in front of me, and clean the plate. However the food in this hotel is the worst food I have ever eaten. It's luke warm and all tastes like mush. Me and my partner ended up eating in other restaurants in order to get some quality food.
Overall there is definitely better out there but icmeler is an amazing place.

Friendly staff and good location, but that's the only positive thing. Definitely not worth to be 4star hotel at the moment, don't be tricked by their pictures as lots of them are from the past and some attractions doesn't match/exists any longer. Stay away!

I wasn't expecting much after reading bad review after bad review but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised
We arrived at 01.00 and the gentleman behind the desk was very helpful friendly and easy to communicate with
He took care of our bags and showed us round the whole hotel and then to our room before he left us to settle in he made sure the air-conditioning was on and working and that the room was clean and we had everything we needed including towels
The bed was king-size and not separate mattresses so no risk of one of us falling into the middle
The bed was clean and comfortable and we had extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe should we need them
We had a tv which was very small and a distance away from the bed but it worked and I rearranged the persistioning of it to suit us
I emailed before hand to ask if the rooms had a kettle and the replied with yes but there wasn't one in our room when I asked about it they said they would bring one but they didn't so we ended up buying one from the local supermarket
There wasn't much room on the balcony because they had the big air-conditioning mechanism on there which blew out hot air and was quite noisy but we had the best view over looking the pool and the hotel sat in the middle of the mountains so either side was magical to look at
The bathroom was large had plenty of light and contained a hair dryer and shaving mirror
The shower cubicle was a proper cubicle where you have to step into and it had glass doors to keep the water where it should be
The shower itself was easy to use and powerful
We had ample towels and clean ones delivered every day
Our bins were changed every day and our room cleaned most days accept when we told our friendly cleaning lady not to bother
Our sheets were also changed throughout our stay
The room it self was very basic and tired looking it could do with a spruce up and a new fridge which was clean but old
The hotel itself is old and tired and definitely needs some redecorating and bringing upto date
They don't have adequate hand rails up the steps around the hotel and there are many steps the rails move about when holding onto them and they feel very dirty
They have ramps next to the steps but they are to steep and you end up running down them and when using the ramps to wheel your cases your dicing with health and safety
The hotel has two pools one for children and families and one adult only
Children and families were often in the adults only pool and eventhough there were signs that stated 14 years and over they still crept in
But on complaint they were told to leave promptly by staff which they did
There was ample sun loungers available and a covered seating area to seek shade from the sun
The bar was very basic and limited on drinks they also didnt serve snacks or any kind of food not even crisps or ice-cream and they close at 6pm along with the pools
Being above the pool we did observe the staff cleaning the whole area every evening and testing the water and adding chlorine when required
Over to the dinner hall
This was a large area and it was very canteen and basic
Very tired looking
The staff working to clear pots and wipe down tables worked very hard and were pleasant and helpful BUT
(The food) oh my gods
It was disgusting
We had 3 things to choose from and was the same every single day and night
Limited choice often cold and not all of it was labeled and the ones that were labeled were not accurately described what it was or it's ingredients and allergy awareness
All the food we're turkish dishes and we had to guess what we were eating
The look of the food which is a huge part of our eating experience was awful
None of their salad dishes were labelled with allergies advisories or even what it was we were eating they had a lot of dips and mixed salads that were swimming in a sauce that we had to guess
The bread every day was stale and they only had one toaster which was old and always dirty
I have so much more to say about the dining and food but it turns out im out of space

we had a great experience for the price we paid - £220 for a week all inclusive. the food was tasty although very similar each night, and the beer/alcohol did the job, so you can’t complain at that price.
but from talking to other guests the rooms really differ massively and we were in the newest block so our room was quite nice. they did provide clean towels and do a bin change once a day for us - although a few times only giving us two towels when there were three of us.
some things weren’t great overall though - the cleaning processes at the bar and in the restaurant were minimal. not once did we see a glass be washed in a dishwasher, they would just collect them up, rinse under the tap and then pour your drink. you have to hope that a more thorough clean was done when you weren’t looking but i wouldn’t be surprised if not. they also didn’t spray or wipe any of the restaurant tables, just brush crumbs off and relay with cutlery.
pools were pretty cloudy and didn’t look clean, but i did smell the chlorine in them which was reassuring.
spa attached to the hotel was great and well priced.
overall, an acceptably good holiday if you’re only paying a small price!
