First time in Malta and booked Mercure Hotel in St. Julian, it was a great experience exploring the country and having to stay in this wonderful hotel. Starting from the lobby, where me got this great reception from the staff from the day one. Really helpful, warm and kind people to the last day.
The hotel was very clean and tidy the room was big enough, very clean also. The hotel was in a great location where you can get easily to the other cities like Sliema, Valetta and a great destination to enjoy the sea-sight or eat at great restaurant and other food places.
I recommend it to everyone who would like to experience this country in Mediteran.

I had a wonderful stay at Mercure St. Julian’s Malta while celebrating my birthday, and the experience exceeded all expectations.
The hotel is beautifully designed, modern, and luxurious, with a very relaxing atmosphere. My room was spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, and the rooftop pool and terrace offer stunning views over St. Julian’s.
What truly made my stay special was the thoughtful personal touch from the hotel. I was surprised with a handwritten birthday card and a complimentary bottle of wine in my room. Paula, a member of staff, personally delivered the surprise on behalf of the hotel management, which made the gesture even more meaningful and memorable.
The staff were professional, warm, and attentive throughout my stay, always willing to help and ensure everything was perfect. The location is excellent — close to restaurants, nightlife, and the waterfront, yet still peaceful and relaxing.
Thank you to Paula and the entire Mercure St. Julian’s team for making my birthday getaway truly unforgettable. I would highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to returning.

The biggest advantage is the location - close to main bus stop at Ross with several lines. Lots of shops, restaurants and cafes nearby.
The hotel in theory is 4*, but the reality is much different. It's clear that the best days of the hotel passed and some parts need renovation.
Breakfast was ok, but the bread was low quality, menu options rather limited and almost the same every day (we stayed for 5 nights).
Huge disadvantage was the building construction works from the street side - the workers start az 7am... So no chance for sleep longer. From the other side (with sea view) should be ok.
The staff was really nice and helpful.
Recommend for 1-2 nights, no longer.

Absolutely Fantastic! Value for money! We stayed in the Privilege Suit, Room 1001, which was there highest room upgrade on the top floor, there had been very limited availability for this room as there had been only 2 available in the whole hotel, hence why i booked well in advance! We were welcomed by the manager and check in staff, in less than 5 minutes. We went to our room and were welcomed by somr luxury treats, and handwritten card, views which matched the photos I had seen on their website! They did not disappoint. Best feature of the room had to be the large bath with the city light and sea view. This room had been equivalent to a spacious apartment, as had a little living room at the start, then a bedroom, then a bathroom and the large balcony which stretched to almost the whole room length! The reception had also given us a quick call to the room, to make sure all had been good once we got in. Very attentive and attention to detail. Price was very reasonable, as we are from the UK so the same price of the room would have been a very basic room here in the UK. Thank you to the team for giving us a great warm welcome. ❤️🫶 We will be staying again.

Room was big enough. Good, powerful, shower
No water bottle restock but coffee and tea maker
Though kettle was dangerously hot
Clean room
WiFi not great in the room.
Aircon only on heating whilst the room was too hot
Parking free, but narrow
Limited choice on breakfast
Staff was eating from the buffet before service was finished
