I have been staying at Meliá South Beach Mallorca for around 10 years, and that alone says a lot about how much I enjoy this hotel.
As a Platinum member, I always have access to The Level, and once again the experience was excellent. The check-in process through The Level was smooth and professional. Andrea was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made me feel valued from the moment I arrived. The following day, Cati was just as amazing—very helpful, attentive, and always willing to assist with anything I needed.
There is not much more I can say about the hotel itself that I haven’t experienced over the years. Of course, there are always small areas where improvements can be made, as with any hotel, but overall I have consistently been more than satisfied with my stays here.
The location, atmosphere, and service keep bringing me back year after year. Most importantly, the staff are always friendly, professional, and genuinely care about their guests.
Thank you to the entire team for another wonderful stay. I am already looking forward to my next visit.
Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Meliá South Beach is a truly beautiful and modern hotel located directly on the beach. What impressed us the most was the location – it really couldn’t be better. The breakfast is fresh, very extensive, and leaves nothing to be desired. The pool area is large, clean, and perfect for sun lovers – absolutely ideal for my wife and me.
The only small downside is that the famous Nikki Beach is right next door, and the music can get quite loud already around midday. It didn’t completely bother us, but it’s something to be aware of.
The staff were all extremely friendly, especially at the reception. Since I speak a bit of Spanish, communication was very easy, but the team also speaks good English. We decided not to take the Meliá upgrade this time – but we definitely will next time.
It was actually my first time staying at a Meliá hotel, and since then I have also visited the Meliá Vienna and the Meliá Vinpearl. A brand I have truly come to appreciate.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for beach, style, and a modern atmosphere.

Ok, the staff was awesome. Very nice place. Problems if you wanted a quiet day. The music starts early and boom boom boom until 6 pm. We had to leave the facility to have quiet time. Also the elevators fit 4 people, but not with luggage and only 1 of two in our building worked. Had to wait multiple times up to 15 minutes. Other than that a beaut.

Had a decent stay overall - good location near shops and restaurants, modern outdoor areas.
However, be prepared for excessive extra charges:
- Parking: €30/day (some free spots nearby if you're lucky)
- Beach sun beds: €25 per bed - absolutely ridiculous pricing
Room was adequate size but bathroom layout is cramped with everything squeezed together.
The "Level" subscription at €45/person/day for
VIP perks isn't worth it.
Beach is very close which is convenient but honestly with these outrageous sun bed prices and parking fees, I'd recommend looking at other options in the area. There are for sure better value hotels that won't nickel and dime you for basic amenities.

Normally, I would never take the time to leave a bad review, but I have honestly never been this disappointed in a vacation before.
We booked through a travel agency for 2 adults and 1 baby. Upon arrival, there was no baby cot/crib in the room. We tried calling the reception 3 times, but nobody answered. Later that evening, while we were outside the hotel, we tried calling another 3 times to the hotel— again, no answer.
When we returned to the hotel and asked once more for a baby bed, we were told: “No, tomorrow, because the concierge left 10 minutes ago.” They made absolutely no effort to help us and almost laughed it off. It was incredibly arrogant, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable.
As a result, we had to let our baby sleep on the couch without proper bedding. We had to use towels and even move the couch to prevent her from falling off during the night. The fact that parents are put in this situation at a hotel is honestly ridiculous.
When we said something about it the next day the manager said it was our fault because the booking was only for 2 while the booking clearly said 1 baby !!!
On top of that, the breakfast was terrible. Since breakfast was only served until 10:30, almost the entire hotel was eating between 09:30 and 10:30, making it extremely crowded. Most of the food looked like it had been sitting there since the beginning of breakfast service. The sausages were rock hard and dry, almost like plastic, and the Spanish omelet was completely dried out. One of the two coffee machines was broken, causing constant long lines. The waffles were just pre-made sugar waffles being reheated next to the so-called “homemade pancakes.”
The elevators also had frequent issues where none of the buttons worked, forcing us to carry the stroller down the stairs multiple times.
The “junior suite” was also extremely outdated. The shower was still dirty upon arrival, and the TV and speakers were very old-fashioned, making it impossible to connect devices for music or streaming.
To make things worse, we had to pay for parking, even though this was nowhere clearly mentioned before entering the parking area. Once again, we rang the assistance bell 3 times without any response.
The reception staff seemed completely uninterested and indifferent whenever we reported a problem. There was no willingness to help, no professionalism, and no sense that guests were being taken seriously.
In short: almost everything about this hotel failed to meet our expectations, except for the beautiful view from the room. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the terrible service, outdated facilities, and overall disappointing experience.
