After a nightmare experience at another hotel, we urgently needed a new place to stay, and the Meliá Palma stepped up, big time! We booked just two hours before arrival, and they were ready for us. Having stayed here before, I knew it would be a comfortable choice, and it was. Our room was gorgeous, with an incredible view of the port.
The perks were fantastic! Booking through Booking.com, we received a complimentary drink each, a free 60-minute session in the water circuit spa, and an upgrade to a sea view room. Housekeeping was super helpful, quickly rearranging the beds and providing double bedding to make our room feel even more welcoming. We also appreciated that they held our bags all day after we checked out, allowing us to use the facilities until our departure. The spa is simply amazing.
However, it wasn't all perfect. The pool was quite cold, and the overall price is on the higher side. We also experienced a noisy wedding party one evening. While the price feels a bit steep for what you get, the hotel is still lovely, and the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. The staff were fantastic, especially considering the last-minute booking. Would recommend!

UPDATED.
As if my previous review wasn't bad enough this hotel gets worse. As mentioned below we were given a 100e credit for the hotel but later that day Gustavo asked to check the right wording had been put on the voucher, he came to me the next morning, checked the voucher was correct and in that conversation he said the mini bar was included both myself and husband heard this. On checking the balance of the voucher we discovered we owed extra money to the cost of 130e m. Gustavo was called to the reception desk and said no, he meant within the 100e and not in addition but that is not what he said on the day at all. Further to that as the food quality has been quite poor we had decided to use our halfboard for lunch instead. Yesterday I ordered a burger and asked for it well cooked. It came out bloody, so raw that it was dangerous to eat.
The indoor spa water facility is also dreadful, it had a lukewarm jacuzzi, and the pool is cold. There are some nice things, The breakfast is excellent, the cleaners are fantastic and restaurant staff nice but overall between the whole sales incident ruining our break away as it was a lie to lure you in So if you find a note in your room saying Dear Value guest we would like to offer you a voucher for 100e do not go to the meeting .
Also take pictures and put everything in writing
Currently staying at the Meila hotel, October 14th 2025 to 19th.
Booked half board, food quality in restaurant is 3 stars at best. Fries small, cheap French fries, burger cold, dessert same everyday, no menu change if staying 7 days u get the same menu
Biggest issues was invited to pick up a 100e voucher as a valued guest, It turned out to be a fishing expedition to try and force us to sign up for Circle rewards at 3 times the expense we paid for the holiday.
With food quality this poor, room average with leaking tap not fixed 2 days later, I would not recommend.
Make sure you ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the street noise is awful and ask if there are going to be building works been done during your stay as the building right at the pool is getting work done so very noisy. And to make matters worse the roads are closed tomorrow for a race and we have had to organise our own taxi to pick us up at the street 10 mins walk away tomorrow as all reception could suggest is that we downloaded the ubber app to book a taxi and pick a location somewhere. Cannon wait to check out. Leaving a bitter taste and ruined our anniversary break away. The sales thing was borderline creepy, like being in sharmem el shake and avoiding the street traders.

Rooms were a good size, modern and clean and in our large party all had a balcony. Staff were very polite and welcoming throughout. Great communal spaces, however we found the pool bar to be very slow and larger on tap was pretty awful. Spoke to another guest who is a regular and said this was not the normal standard. Location was short walk along the seafront from the old town but there are plenty of bars and restaurants near by. Would recommend this hotel

Had a problem with the room cleanliness/presentation. However Violeta was a very professional customer relations manager who wowed us with a couple of solutions! She listened very well and We were placed in a better room and received daily lounge privileges. Our stay nights 2-4 were great. Breakfast was also great.

Overall a nice hotel.
We had a The Level rooms on the 5th floor with a nice view of the pool and Palma Bay. The room was OK but no wow factor. They provide a free Bluetooth speaker which is great unless the room next door plays it at full volume.
The Level lounge serves cakes and small bites all day but it's not the sort of place you'd want to spend much time. There is plenty of alcohol available in bottles.
The pool is fairly small but the water is a nice temperature. There is a decent pool bar with good food. People play ball games in the pool which is annoying and the hotel don't stop it. The sun starts going down on the pool area at 5PM in August. There are rooms with solarium beds one level up but the sun goes down on those just after lunch.
Breakfast is good with a large selection of freshly cooked food and plenty of bread and pastries.
The staff are friendly and helpful. It's a 20 minute walk into town along the newly landscaped marina walk.
