This hotel has 4 stars, but the most valuable fifth star is its staff. We have visited many countries and stayed in different hotels, but we have never met before such friendly and caring employees anywhere.
The hotel is compact, but cozy. The rooms are small, but neat. Food is delicious. The territory is well-kept. The only thing missing is a playground, at least a small one.
If you are looking for a quiet family vacation, I definitely recommend May Beach Hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay at May Beach Hotel. The staff was very nice and super helpful. The pool and rooms were great! The food 10/10 freshly prepared and a huge variety. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!!

Incompetent staff. Contacted them via Instagram , they respond fast, in 30 days. Went there to reserve some rooms, we talked and reserved them, they told me to come for payment in the next week, when I came, no more availability. Great way to treat customers!
Also, the barman manages the bookings.

From the moment I put my feet into this amazing hotel I felt like home. The beautiful ladies from the reception are so nice. Such a warm welcome!
All the staff members, the waiters, the cleaning ladys are also very nice.
The food is very good and the access to the sea is very easy.
Every time I needed information about something, the beautiful receptionists were very kind and explained and answered to my questions.
The pool is clean and the rooms also.
Only pro arguments for this hotel, from my point of view.

We spent almost one week at May hotel, with our son of 2.5 years old. The hotel was okay in itself. The woman at the reception was fantastic and super helpful. It had a great pool for kids, and it is super close to the beach. You could see that it has been renovated recently, however specific things are still in need to be changed. There were still some pipes coming up from the flooring. Our “Italian shower”, was not done properly, so we had water on our bathroom after every shower. The towels was horrible, they were the least soft towels I have ever had at a hotel. And after a day in the sun, I really didn’t want to feel I was scratched by my towel. The first day we arrived we had lunch at the pool “restaurant”. It was the worst food we had while in Crete, or rather the worst food in a long time. The pasta, was blend and horrendous, the burger didn’t taste like anything. We tried the buffet they offered later in the week, and it was a bit better. But food at this hotel is not something I would travel for. Also, it seems like the different bars and the reception didn’t really have a great system of speaking to each other. Sometimes they wanted cash, other times we had to put it on our room. They seemed confused about our bills at the end of our stay.
Had a nice time, but will probably not come back
