We recently stayed 3 nights at the Hilton Mallorca Galatzo for our honeymoon. Overall, it is a nice resort with incredibly kind staff. We are only giving it 4 stars for the following reasons. As some other people mentioned, the resort is HUGE. We had a king suite which was located in a place which required us to walk from the main lobby to a different building 2-3 buildings away. That would normally be completely fine except there is no direct connection between the buildings. It required us to walk past the pool into one building, then down the elevator to the main floor, then across into a different building, up a flight of stairs (no ramp or elevator available), THEN again up another elevator to our main floor. It would take on average 7-10 mins to get from our hotel room to the main building every day. This was totally fine most days except when we had all of our luggage, it was actually quite difficult for 2 "younger" people. Breakfast was included but we chose to eat out because the breakfast was not great for such a nice hotel. Now for the good - this hotel grounds were stunning, the rooms were nice, the views were immaculate on hotel grounds and from our bedroom (we had partial sea view), beautiful large pool, and the staff was incredibly kind and lovely. Depending on what you're looking for, the location is nice and quiet as well. About 15-20 min drive to Palma, about 10 mins to another nice town with lots of bars and restaurants. They do have a shuttle from hotel to local beach (we didn't have enough time to check it out), but it only drops off at 10AM and 5PM and picks up at 1015AM and 515PM, so not a lot of flexibility there. Overall, despite the nit-picky things above, we would probably stay here again!

First of all it was great price/value deal for me and that was the main reason for the booking. The hotel is not just a hotel - a quarter with several pools, restaurants and buildings. Very beautiful and relaxing. First impression was very positive. The room has some maintance issues and things are falling apart. Service is friendly but not proactive. I had to ask to get new bottles of water as room service was occasionally ignoring empty bottles. Artificial noise of wild birds with really short cycle was kind of silly. Empty coffee cup near the entrace remained there for the whole week. The pool bar was not always open and reception had no idea about it. Many services like concierge are not avaliable every day. Minor details I would not expect from 5 start. The main downside for me was the location - it is isolated. No public transport and around 20 minutes walk to the closest restaurant. 30 minutes to the beach. You will need to go up to the top of hill on your way back. So it is taxi or car. Hotel assumes you will stay inside for the whole day, sp getting a car just to get there is not logical. Also the parking area was quite full and I had to park outside the gates a couple of times. Taxi costs around 7 eur.
P.S. big new tv without smart tv or wireless connection to the phone is quite useless.

Beautiful location of the hotel with incredible views from the balcony on the residents side. They were very friendly helped me check in late at night they also operate a free shuttle down to the local town if needed. Even offered free cocktails for being a gold member which was a nice touch :)

What a fantastic stay at the wonderful Hilton Galatzo hotel.
Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, staff were very helpful, loved the setting of the hotel on top of a hill with amazing views of the SW Mallorca coastline.
A bonus was that the hotel has its own shops as it can feel a bit secluded.
We especially liked the small boutique shop run by the lovely Karen and the other shops run by Irene and Netty.
Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel for a couples or family vacation and will certainly be returning soon.

British tourist. Visited Sept 25. This is not a five-star hotel. Whilst it isn’t to my personal taste, I recognise it’s a nice reception lounge and bar. Our rooms were also modern but has wear and tear, more like business hotel room. Hotel is spread out over multiple levels across a hill so you end up doing a lot of walking and stairs. Has fantastic views over the bay but please do note that it is very far from Paguera or other seaside towns and you need to rely on cabs to go out for dinner. They do offer a shuttle service but only at 10am or 5pm. The adult only pool was howdy and we found it quieter lounging on the green next to the kids club. The pool bar is very average. Low quality sugary syrup drinks and the food is very poor and all over priced. The smoothies are made with juice not fresh fruit. it’s your only option if you’re staying in the hotel in the day. We had dinner once in the hotel. It was a buffet. Food was warm at best and not particularly flavoursome. The breakfast is also a buffet, nothing special and chaotically organised. Dirty plates and glasses often. Felt like a classic American corporate chain. If they could over-charge you, they will, including for water or their “Balinese beds” which sit empty most of the time are extortionate to rent. Annoying Jungle noises constantly playing to scare of wild life. Our room was entered despite a do not disturb sign. Photographs make it look better than it was. Despite all this, it was an okay stay but far behind 5* experienced. 4* at best but closer to 3*.
